Another “suicide” of a child sex trafficking whistleblower

The Sun

AN ACTIVIST whose claims led to the "rape" arrest of a celebrity healer called John of God has taken her own life at her hideaway in Spain.

Sex abuse support group Victimas Unidas, which worked with Sabrina Bittencourt, said she had left a note explaining why she killed herself.

Eldest son Gabriel Baum confirmed her death, writing on Facebook: “She took the last step so that we could live. They killed my mother.”

More than 600 women have accused John of God - real name Joao Teixeira de Faria - of sexually abusing them during so-called healing sessions.

He was arrested in his homeland of Brazil in December and remanded in prison before being charged with rape and sexual assault.

The cult leader gained international fame in 2010 when US TV star Oprah Winfrey visited his retreat to interview him for her talk show.

She wrote she left feeling “an overwhelming sense of peace”, although she later deleted the comments and has since said she hopes justice is done.

Chilling Report Shows 88% of Missing Sex Trafficked Kids Come from US Foster Care

Matt Agorist
Activist Post

America has a dark secret that no one wants to admit. Talk of this secret will get you labelled as a conspiracy theorist, fake news, and outlets who report on it will have their organic reach throttled by social media and Google alike. Despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary, many in the mainstream media and the government refuse to see this very real epidemic of child sex trafficking in the United States. What’s more, according to the government’s own data, the vast majority of a portion of these trafficked kids are coming from the country’s own foster care system.

Children are being needlessly ripped from homes at such an alarming rate that hundreds of parents in one state have gone so far as to create a counter-kidnapping organization to stop it.

As TFTP reported last week, a parents’ rights organization filed a letter in federal court last Tuesday asking a federal judge strike down Minnesota’s current child protection laws for being too expansive and removing children from loving and safe homes without due process.

“Families are being abused, and in some cases, destroyed, as a result of laws that are inappropriate,” said Dwight Mitchell, the lead plaintiff in the case and founder of the parents’ association. “This is legal kidnapping.”

This legal kidnapping is happening in states across the country and it is contributing to the very real epidemic of child trafficking. The reality of such practices within the United States foster system is outright horrifying.

In 1984, the United States Congress established the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and, as part of Missing Children’s Assistance Reauthorization Act of 2013 they receive $40 million to study and track missing and trafficked children in the United States.

In 2017, NCMEC assisted law enforcement with over 27,000 cases of missing children, the majority who were considered endangered runaways.

According to their most recent report complied from FBI data and their own, of the nearly 25,000 runaways reported to NCMEC in 2017, one in seven were likely victims of child sex trafficking. Of those, 88 percent were in the care of social services when they went missing.

UN Child Sex Ring Left Victims But No Arrests

AP News

In the ruins of a tropical hideaway where jetsetters once sipped rum under the Caribbean sun, the abandoned children tried to make a life for themselves. They begged and scavenged for food, but they never could scrape together enough to beat back the hunger, until the U.N. peacekeepers moved in a few blocks away.

The men who came from a far-away place and spoke a strange language offered the Haitian children cookies and other snacks. Sometimes they gave them a few dollars. But the price was high: The Sri Lankan peacekeepers wanted sex from girls and boys as young as 12.

“I did not even have breasts,” said a girl, known as V01 — Victim No. 1. She told U.N. investigators that over the next three years, from ages 12 to 15, she had sex with nearly 50 peacekeepers, including a “Commandant” who gave her 75 cents. Sometimes she slept in U.N. trucks on the base next to the decaying resort, whose once-glamorous buildings were being overtaken by jungle.

Justice for victims like V01 is rare. An Associated Press investigation of U.N. missions during the past 12 years found nearly 2,000 allegations of sexual abuse and exploitation by peacekeepers and other personnel around the world — signaling the crisis is much larger than previously known. More than 300 of the allegations involved children, the AP found, but only a fraction of the alleged perpetrators served jail time.

1 in 20 students in UK worked in sex trade to fund living cost

Times of India

LONDON: One in 20 students in the UK have worked in the sex industry while studying at the university to make ends meet, according to a new survey that shows more number of them are secretly turning to the profession.

Men were more likely to be involved than women, and the sex work ranged from prostitution and escorting to stripping and internet work, the Student Sex Work Project report said.

One in 20 students had worked in the sex industry while they pursued a degree, researchers from Wales- based Swansea University's Centre for Criminal Justice and Criminology who carried out the online study said.

Tracey Sagar, who led the study, said: "We now have firm evidence that students are engaged in the sex industry across the UK. The majority of these students keep their occupations secret and this is because of social stigma and fears of being judged by family and friends.

"And we have to keep in mind that not all students engaged in the industry are safe or feel safe. It is vital now that universities arm themselves with knowledge to better understand student sex work issues and that university services are able to support students where support is needed."

The recent study involved 6,750 students, of which 5 per cent of men and 3.5 per cent of women said they had worked in the sex industry, while nearly 22 per cent overall said they had considered doing so.

Easy currency: Poverty and abuse in Cambodia's 'virginity trade'

The Independent

Danet* is fourteen, and lives in a house built on wooden stilts, with no walls, and only tarpaulin for shelter. There are eleven of them who live in the family home, next to a mosquito-infested pond in a poor, rural community in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. She loves to read fairy tales but she frowns a lot and her eyes have a haunted gaze.

At the age of ten, she was locked in a guesthouse bedroom for days, at the mercy of a British paedophile. Her mother sold her for a week for $750.

Her virginity was part of the allure, but surely that is irrelevant. This was a child sold by her parents to be raped by a sex offender. Unfathomable.

Danet describes Michael Leach - her convicted abuser, a former government advisor - as “big and cruel looking”. She says: “He didn’t look nice, he looked strange.”

The 54 year old is now serving a twelve year jail sentence, so she is less afraid to talk about him.

“I hope he stays put away forever,” she says.

Selling her virginity - her innocence - was a way to feed nine children and pay their debts. Danet's father earns $5 a day as a motorbike taxi driver and fruit seller.

Her mother was approached and coaxed into the deal by a “broker”, a local driver, who worked for Leach to appease his urge to abuse minors.

“My mother took me there on the first day. The next, my father drove me there. I didn’t want to go but I had to, for my family.”

A mother and a father escorted their child to be raped.

“I couldn’t understand what he was saying, but I understood his body language and that he wanted me to take my clothes off. I’m not angry at [my mother]. We are poor and in debt. That’s why she did it to me."

Kenya's battle to end 'sex for fish' trade

BBC News

The shores of Lake Victoria in western Kenya bustle with business - wooden fishing boats competing for space, carrying in the morning catch of tilapia, perch or catfish.

Under the scorching sun, the fishermen bargain with those queuing up to buy: mainly women, who hope to make a small profit at the local market.

But in this deeply poor part of Kenya, the transaction between fisherman and female market seller is rarely a financial one.

The currency is sex, not money: women selling their bodies in the hope of taking back a prize catch.
The practice is known colloquially as "sex for fish" - or, in the Luo language of the area, "jaboya".

Lucy Odhiambo, 35, prepares her latest purchase for the market, descaling the fish and slitting them open to remove their innards. A widow and mother of five, she says women here are in a bind.

"I'm forced to pay for the fish with sex because I have no other means," she tells the BBC.

"Usually I sleep with one or two fishermen a week. I could get diseases but I have no other choice: I have my children to send to school. Jaboya is an evil practice."

The "disease" is indeed widespread here - the HIV infection rate in this area is almost 15%, double the national average - and it is largely down to "sex for fish".

Spanish police arrest 25 in 'Nigeria sex-trafficking ring'

goods seized by Spanish police
More than 100 vans were also seized, filled with high-end goods
BBC News

Spanish police say they have arrested 25 people in a sex-trafficking ring that brought women from Nigeria to work as prostitutes.

The women, allegedly lured with the promise of good jobs in Europe, were first flown to Mexico or Brazil, travelling on false identity documents.

From there, they were flown to Paris, then smuggled into Spain to work in the sex trade, police say. Five women who were victims of the sex ring were freed in the raids.

Police found one member of the gang performing an abortion on one of the five women, reports the BBC's Madrid correspondent, Tom Burridge.

Hidden goods

Arrests were made across Spain - in Madrid, Toledo, Cantabria and Palma de Mallorca.

More than 100 vans concealing luxury goods were also seized.

The gang used the vans to launder their profits and send them back to Lagos, police say.
The vans, with dark-tinted windows and welded doors, were stocked full of beer but had luxury items hidden deeper inside.

Goods worth an estimated 5m euros (£4.1m; $6.6m) were found in 94 vans seized in Madrid and another 26 in the port of Valencia, including high-end televisions and cases of alcohol.

Police say the gang was formed more than 20 years ago in Nigerian universities and was also known for sending so-called Nigerian letters by email, asking recipients to send money.

Eight of the 25 people arrested were in Spain illegally, they say.

Movie review: THE WHISTLEBLOWER

I saw this movie the other day and can heartily recommend it. It is deeply disturbing but still highly relevant nonetheless. Human trafficking and the sex trade is set to overtake the billions of  $'s global drug profits if it hasn't already. If you look at Dyncorp International online anybody would think they are God's messengers dispensing peace, justice and sun-baked cookies to all and sundry. Well, don't believe it, they have a rap record as long as the US Debt trail having been thoroughly spook-infested for decades.  Judging by Pentagon contracts and our present history unfolding as it is, I doubt the predator's underbelly has lost any weight on that score...

It's as much an indictment on United Nations as it is on Dyncorp and is a sober window into how institutions and organisations in the world - without exception - become progressively corrupted when knowledge is lacking regarding psychopathological infiltration. Whether individual or collective, the "infection" is the same and ignorance fosters it's inception.

------------------

 Art Voice

The title of this new drama isn’t entirely inappropriate: as the story goes on, the heroine of the story does indeed attempt to make public the misdeeds of her employer, in this case a military contractor working for the United Nations in Bosnia. But the impact of that pales next to the bulk of this fact-based film about human trafficking, a bland term for the lucrative practice of forcing women into sexual slavery.

Rachel Weisz stars as Kathryn Bolkovac, a Nebraska policewoman who in 1999 accepted a job with Democra Services, a private contractor providing peacekeeping services in Bosnia. (We can presumably credit lawyers, or the fear of them, for the mix of fact and fiction here; Bolkovac is a real person, but the company that employed her was DynCorp International, which has objected to her version of the story.) She discovers that a local bar is holding as prisoners girls used as prostitutes. When she finds that the raid she observed only led to the girls being returned to their keepers, she is compelled to investigate further. She learns that not only are workers for the diplomatic and peacekeeping forces patrons of these brothels, but that some of them are helping to protect the men running them. And the further up the line she gets, he more she finds that everyone would just prefer to turn a blind eye to the whole ugly mess.

You’re not likely to come out of The Whistleblower feeling good about the world, unless you can take solace from the knowledge that at least some people are trying to expose evil in the world. That’s scant comfort after this demonstration of how responsibility for an unthinkable and unbearable situation gets diffused the further those with the power to do something about it are removed from it. (A typical reaction: “This is Bosnia—these people specialize in fucked up.”) Weisz is excellent despite being saddled with an uncomfortable American accent. First time director Larysa Kondracki tries to keep the film from being too horrible to watch (she claims she toned things down from some of what the real Kathryn Bolkovac reported in her book), and if the film occasionally falls into melodramatics, it’s hard to see how a story like this could have been told otherwise.

11 shocking things you now realize to be true (but you never would have believed just three years ago)

We are living through a time of great awakening. The people of our world are beginning to open their eyes and realize the stunning depth of the scams and collusion taking place all around them. These scams that steal their wealth, poison them with chemicals, enslave them with financial trickery and control their minds with propaganda. These scams are the very fabric of modern government, the mainstream media, universities and so-called "science" institutions.

Here are 11 of those scams that you probably never would have believed just 2-3 years ago; but now you probably realize these are true!

Welcome to the real world, my friends. Now that we recognize the depth of the scams, let's change things for the better. (Occupy America!)

#1 - Most of the honey you buy in the grocery store contains no actual honey whatsoever

It's true, the so-called "honey" isn't even technically honey. Most of it is made of cheap "mystery" sweeteners, illegally imported from China, right under the nose of the FDA.

http://www.naturalnews.com/034123_h...
http://www.naturalnews.com/034102_h...

#2 - The fluoride that's dripped into municipal water supplies is actually a highly toxic industrial chemical byproduct

This scam is exploding in the faces of all the ignorant dentists and doctors who have been pushing this poison for years. Once again, they were wrong; the "conspiracy theorists" were right.

http://www.naturalnews.com/033753_w...
http://www.naturalnews.com/031547_f...
http://www.naturalnews.com/031602_f...

#3 - Flu vaccines often contain live flu viruses and actually cause the flu as a way to worsen the flu season and scare more people into buying vaccines

It's also true with MMR vaccines, which cause the measles. Flu vaccines are the greatest medical hoax that has ever been perpetrated on the world:

http://www.naturalnews.com/033816_s...
http://www.naturalnews.com/029641_v...
http://www.naturalnews.com/031043_f...

#4 - Ron Paul is deliberately stripped out of mainstream news reports, online polls and debate coverage in order to "game the system" against him

The power elite don't really want "fair and open" elections in America, you see. It's all about rigging the system to make sure a globalist puppet gets elected instead of a Man of the People.

#5 - The United States government openly trafficks illegal guns into Mexico as a way to cause gun violence in the USA

It all seemed so very clever until they got caught, and now it just seems flatly criminal. So why can the federal government run illegal guns and nothing happens to them, but if you or I do it, we go to prison for a long, long time?

#6 - Prestigious U.S. hospitals are widely engaged in black market organ trafficking and organ transplants

And why not? It's profitable, and they can claim they're "saving lives!" Make no mistake: the organ transplant industry is steeped in dark, psychopathic criminal activity.

#7 - The child sex slave industry is huge, highly profitable, and found everywhere across America (and the world)

You wouldn't have believed this, probably, until the whole Penn State scandal recently made headline news around the world. As everybody now knows, Penn State sports officials routinely raped young children, even pimping them out to other criminal rapists who paid big money to rape young boys. This went on for 15 years right inside a prestigious university, right here in America.

Are you shocked? You shouldn't be. Alex Jones has been sounding the alarm about this for a decade. Nobody listened to him. They couldn't believe it was real. People would rather bury their heads in the sand than face reality.

And yet, this Penn State scandal just scratches the surface. The far deeper horrifying truth of all this is that Child Protective Services routinely kidnaps young American children and sells them into sex slavery -- so-called "white slavery." That story has not yet been covered by the mainstream media.

#8 - Commercial chickens are routinely fed arsenic, and commercial cows are routinely fed chicken poop

Oh, you didn't know that? When you eat conventional beef, you're eating meat from cows who created that meat by consuming chicken poop. Yumm! Can I have some more poop on that burger, please?

#9 - "Natural" foods and cereals are routinely made with genetically modified ingredients

Oh, you thought "natural" meant better than organic? Non-GMO? Stop getting suckered by the cereal companies and dishonest food conglomerates. Know what you're really eating:

#10 - The global banking industry is a criminal racket that steals wealth from working class People and redistributes it to the global wealthy elite

You wouldn't have believed this five years ago, but now, looking at your own bank account, the job you lost, the house you can't sell and the health care you can't afford, it's all sinking in: The global financial system is an engineered con that suckers working-class people into giving up all their wealth, piece by piece, until they die bankrupt. Indentured servitude...

#11 - The U.S. government routinely conspires with pharmaceutical giants to conduct criminal, inhumane medical experiments on innocent people

Recent revelations about the U.S. government's secret medical experiments in Guatemala are just the tip of the iceberg here. Dr. Jona Salk, inventor of the polio vaccine, also ran unethical medical experiments on people. In fact, the entire history of modern medicine (pharmaceuticals, vaccines, chemotherapy and more) is something of a "house of horrors" of inhumane medical experiments on innocent victims.

Predator, Prey and the Illusions Between Part IV

"Sexual molestation of children is a volitional act. It is a matter of choice."
– Andrew Vachss

Hidden in Plain Sight

With the long term effects of child abuse covering a wide range of fears, anxieties, depression, anger, hostility, inappropriate sexual behaviour, poor self-esteem, tendency toward substance abuse and difficulty with close relationships, it is little wonder that we seeing problems in youth of society.

One North American study from five years ago once again confirmed sexual assaults on children were committed by relatives at 47 percent; 49 percent by acquaintances, such as a teacher, a coach or a neighbour and only 4 percent by strangers. 20 percent of sexually exploited children who were interviewed were involved in prostitution rings that worked across state lines.1

This underlines the sad, statistical reality that another other study found, in that most prostitutes on the street were sexually abused as children. 59 percent of incarcerated women in maximum-security prisons were sexually abused in childhood and 80 percent of women in prison and jails have been victims of sexual and/or physical abuse. A report on convicted killers shows that 83.8 percent suffered severe physical and emotional abuse 32 percent were sexually abused as children. 75 percent of juvenile girls identified as delinquent by the courts have been sexually abused.  2

According to one UK survey conducted by Great Ormand Street Hospital in the UK, one in eight boys who were sexually abused grew up to be a paedophile. “The research, published today in the Lancet, showed that 26 of the 224 former victims studied went on to commit sex offences, nearly all of which involved children.” 3 It was also significant – though perhaps obvious to most - that if the child has been abused by a woman, his mother for example, as well as suffering from neglect and violence, the likelihood of becoming an abuser tripled the probability. That said, it is far from proven that some paedophile and child molesters automatically come from generational abuse. Many counsellors and psychologists note in their experience it is not necessarily true that cases suggest the abused will carry on the pattern of abuse. It may depend entirely on the intrinsic qualities of the victim involved.

While abuse certainly has many cases of infanticide caused by the mother and step mother, sexual and physical abuse remains the province of the male. A child’s vulnerability is a key factor in all abuse. With a rapist against adult women it is usually the physical vulnerability. With a child it is the innocence. It will surely come as not surprise to many that sexual victimization “may profoundly interfere with and alter the development of attitudes toward self, sexuality, and trusting relationships during the critical early years of development” 4 with a propensity for victims to seek an escape through substance abuse 5 Abuse or neglected children are 67 times more likely to be arrested between ages 9-12 then those who aren’t and are more than twice as likely to run away from home than non-abused children.  6

If we it were true that the highest statistics are incorrect, the lowest estimates of child abuse are still far too high. From a 1988 study a “typical” child sex offender molests an average of 117 children, most of whom do not report the offence. 7 Another study concluded the average child molester abuses between 50 and 150 children before he is arrested the first time, and an average of 360-380 children in his/her lifetime. Broken down, convicted child molesters who abuse girls have an average of 52 victims each. Men who molest boys have an average of 150 victims.  8

Further, from only 232 child molesters studied using methods which guaranteed confidentiality and thus provided a reduced margin of error where the interviewees could feel free to talk as they wished, offering much needed data. The results included 55,000 attempts at child molestation, with a total 17,000 victims. Other research included interviews from 561 offenders including other sexual offences who admitted to over 291,000 offences and over 195,000 victims.

According to psychologist Anne Salter’s research and in-depth interviews with countless sex offenders she came across a wide number of victims ranging from an average of 10 to 1,250.  9 As Salter mentions, conceiving such figure it difficult but she allows us to imagine it rather aptly by describing it in the following way: “…consider that the Louisiana Superdome, site of five Super Bowls has a maximum seating capacity of 72,675. If all the victims of those 561 men wanted to meet, they would have filled two and one-half super-domes. Despite the astounding figures most of these offences had never been detected.”

This is the truth that needs to be reiterated time after time. Statistics can be erroneous but what appears as a consistent correlation both in quantitative and qualitative data, as well as the simple logic that wraps around these field of sexual abuse, is that we will not hear of most of the abuse that is taking place as we read these words, let alone see the offences reach a courtroom.

One study in an increasing number from The Children’s Hospital Medical Center of Cincinnati, US, shows that allegations made by child victims match closely with confessions of paedophiles. The study, presented to the Pediatric Academic Societies and American Academy of Pediatrics at a joint meeting in May 2000, also showed that genital exams are most often normal in victims of sexual abuse, even when genital penetration is admitted to. Physical examinations tended to be unreliable indicators of abuse. According to the authors, emphasis on listening to children became all the more important, something that has been seriously lacking in the past.

Reviewing the records of 31 paedophiles who confessed between 1994 and 1999, the researchers had access to the case files: “which contained all available victim, witness and perpetrator statements, and pertinent victim medical records. They analyzed each case for admissions or denials of specific sexual acts. They also analyzed victim medical histories, examinations and reports from criminal investigators for specific histories of sexual assault and exam findings.” What was more disturbing still, was the total acts of sexual abuse exceeded the above quota. Researchers discovered: “The 31 perpetrators confessed to a total of 101 acts of sexual abuse, some of which they committed multiple times. The perpetrators abused 47 children. The 45 old enough to provide a history described 111 acts of sexual abuse.” 10

Other research discoveries by Dr. Abel do not bode well for the psyche of the male abuser in society. The research confirmed the possibility of a generational time-bomb of damaged children and potential abusers. Conclusions made in the course of this research included:
Boy victims of sex crimes are at high risk to become sexually attracted to children and to become child sexual abusers.
  • Men who have sex with children are nearly always committing additional sex crimes.
  • Men who have sex with children usually start that behavior before they are 18 years old.
  • Men who have sex with children usually have 3 victims before they are 18 years old.
  • Men who have sex with their own children may also be having sex with other children in the community. 11
The links between social and economic depravation, crime and abuse are clear with the latter underpinning much of the dysfunctional elements within our different societies. If the data is even close to being true, then the effects of sexual abuse on children have clear ramifications for societies as a whole. The sexual exploitation industry is booming on the back of dysfunctional families.

Children going missing from State care in Ireland end up working as sex slaves in brothels

Children have been going missing from State care and ending up working as sex slaves in brothels for at least three years, leaked US embassy cables reveal.

Health Service Executive (HSE) officials made the shocking admission during a private briefing of diplomats from the American Embassy in Dublin.

Details of the disclosure were contained in cables obtained by the Irish Independent through the whistle-blowing organisation WikiLeaks.

Cables reveal how foreign-born children who went missing from HSE care had been ending up in the sex trade as far back as 2008.

The disclosure was made to US diplomats conducting research for an annual report on people trafficking in Ireland.

According to one cable, the HSE said some foreign children who went missing from care had been retraced to brothels, restaurants and private households where they may have been used as domestic slaves.

The missing minors were found in various towns throughout the country.
Disturbingly, the unnamed HSE officials admitted statistics on the number of these children were not being maintained.

A February 2009 cable, detailing a HSE briefing, said gardai had located two minors - both missing from HSE care - in the sex industry during the previous year.

The cable, which gave a detailed assessment of Irish efforts to combat people trafficking, was forwarded to the office of US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

According to the dispatch, HSE officials believed Chinese children were at greatest risk of being trafficked.

They also claimed traffickers bringing such children to Ireland were likely to be non-nationals who preyed on their compatriots.

When a child under the age of 17 arrives in Ireland without a parent or guardian, they are automatically placed in foster care or hostel facilities administered by the HSE.

However, each year dozens of children go missing from care. It is suspected many end up in the hands of the traffickers who arranged for them to come into the country in the first place.
According to the cable, gardai indicated trafficking gangs were increasingly targeting Ireland due to the ease with which children could escape from HSE facilities.

Briefings received by the embassy between 2006 and 2008 indicated there was no evidence at the time to substantiate suspicions children were being trafficked into the sex trade in Ireland.

However, for the past three years the HSE has acknowledged in briefings with American officials that trafficking of minors into the sex trade is happening.
