JFK - The Speech That Killed Him: As relevant today as it was then....


"For we are opposed around the world, by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy, that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence."

Although Kennedy was primarily referring to the Cold War ideology of the Soviets, he was also applying this as a double reference: to the dangers of such a mindset in America, reinforcing Eisenhower's warning of the Military-Industrial Complex several years before.
