Royal Family may be investigated in child sex inquiry

The British Royal Family will not be exempt from scrutiny over pedophile allegations and may be asked to provide evidence to a newly launched child sex abuse inquiry, it has emerged.

Justice Lowell Goddard, the New Zealand judge chairing the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse, had initially not included the Royal household in a list of institutions to be investigated over historical crimes.

However, a statement from the inquiry, launched on Thursday, later confirmed the monarchy would also be “within the scope” of the investigation.

The child abuse inquiry could take up to five years and cost £100 million, it has been confirmed, as authorities will investigate every level of British society including local authorities, the police, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), the NHS, the media and armed forces.

Justice Goddard told the Times: “There is no limit on the types of institutions that fall within the terms of reference. The monarchy is an institution and it runs a number of other institutions, all of which are potentially within the scope of the inquiry.”

In a statement, Goddard described the investigation as “the most ambitious public inquiry” ever undertaken in England and Wales.

The Royal household has come under scrutiny in recent years following several allegations of child sexual abuse.

The sinister treatment of dissent at the BBC

Nobody from John Humphrys in the morning to Evan Davis at night dares mention a scandal at the BBC. It undermines their reporting of every abuse whistleblowers reveal. It reinforces the dirty common sense of British life that you must keep your head down if you want to keep your job.

The scandal is simply this: the BBC is forcing out or demoting the journalists who exposed Jimmy Savile as a voracious abuser of girls. As Meirion Jones put it to me: “There is a small group of powerful people at the BBC who think it would have been better if the truth about Savile had never come out. And they aim to punish the reporters who revealed it.”

Jones was one of the BBC’s best investigative producers. He had suspected that Savile was not the “national treasure” the BBC, NHS, monarchy and public adored, ever since he had seen Savile take girls away in his car from an approved school his aunt ran in the 1970s. He broke the story which showed that Savile was one of the most prolific sex abusers in British history, and handed the BBC what would have been one of its biggest scoops. If it had run it. Which, of course, it did not. The editor of Newsnight banned the report. Thus began a cover-up which tore the BBC apart.

As the bombs drop in Gaza and in eastern Ukraine, another siege has been underway in Great Britain. A sustained barrage of a different kind of bombshell continues to rain down on the centre of power in Westminster…

An epidemic of paedophiles, or to be more accurate, of 'Pederasts', has for decades, freely festered in and around the governing institutions, as well as inside media and entertainment in the UK. Will we ever truly know the full scale and scope of this problem?

Past proponents of the sordid practice (image, left, of ancient paedohile folklore), like the part publicly-funded Paedophile Information Exchange (PIE), were even paid to lobby for a more relaxed paedophile culture in Britain, including active lobbying to lower the age of consent to 12 years old. Many of those who were involved or helped to facilitate PIE’s presence in Westminster – are still in government, or quango organisations today.A culture of denial has taken over the halls of Westminster, with countless MP’s and bureaucrats are said to be linked to not only to Jimmy Savile, but also other child sex rings that were being operated out of Boys Homes in both London, North Wales and elsewhere. The scale of the problem is immense.

It’s doubtful that the public will ever know the true extent of this plague which remains obscured by complicit members of the political elite, the police, the security services and most importantly – the judiciary – as well as the mainstream press – as key men and women play their roles in covering for those known to be involved in this wretched and highly organised practice that ruins so many young lives, and is used to blackmail and control so many in the seats of power and influence.

One man currently at the centre of Westminster’s rank VIP pederast controversy, is former Home Secretary, Leon Brittan (photo, left), who vehemently denies any knowledge, or involvement in the long list of incidences surrounding the Tory party, dating back to Margaret Thatcher and John Major’s governments.

Coincidentally, Brittan was a key player in solidifying the UK’s entrance into the European Union, and a conduit for the British government’s steadfast support of Israel. Interestingly, the current Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg, is also a protégé of Brittan’s, and some feel that Clegg’s hardened pro-EU views are credited to the intimate time he spent as a young political upstart under Leon Brittan’s wing.

Not surprisingly, it seems that certain references to Leon Brittan appear to have been scrubbed from Google.

Recently, The Independent revealed just how deep the cover-up effort truly is, detailing inquiries by Labour MP Simon Danczuk:

“Mr Danczuk said the late Tory MP Geoffrey Dickens had written to Lord Brittan, Home Secretary from 1983 to 1985, about paedophiles “operating and networking within and around Westminster”.
“I do think it would be helpful for Sir Leon Brittan to share his knowledge of how he dealt with these allegations that were made at the time,” said Mr Danczuk.
“I think that politics is the last refuge of child sex abuse deniers. Other institutions, the police, have dealt with this and changed their culture.”
But politics suffered from “a continual view that we should sweep it under the carpet, that we shouldn’t speak about it, that we shouldn’t name people, that there shouldn’t be a discussion about what’s gone on”.In the end, it boils down to confidence in elites’ ability to govern – free of compromising entanglements that, unlike the pumped-up ‘Islamic terror threat’, ultimately determine real state of ‘national security’.

Truth and reconciliation can only happen if the full extent of the problem is known, but unfortunately, no one is holding their breath…

Government will drip feed VIP paedophile revelations over decades to avoid mass civil unrest

The British government plans to strictly control the release of ‘establishment’ paedophile revelations over a period of decades in order to avoid mass civil unrest, according to a Westminster source.

It is further claimed that many cases will never be disclosed due to the severity of the offences that took place, and also the high profile status of those involved. 

Even politicians such as Simon Danczuk and Tom Watson, who have pushed for transparency, are all too aware of the dangers that mass disclosure may bring.

A ‘total disclosure event’ would see citizens of the United Kingdom take to the streets in their hundreds of thousands, if not millions, as the extent of the crimes are revealed. The offences include the rape, torture and murder of children.

When the public accept that throughout the 70′s, 80′s, and into the 90′s, elected officials and other dignitaries in shocking numbers used their position and status to have sex with vulnerable children, a ‘critical mass mentality’ will have been achieved, and the state will not have the resources or the moral high ground available to quell the disquiet.

There is no sector of the ‘establishment’ that remains distant from the culture of paedophilia in and around the power bases of London. The royal family, government, security services, the police and the judiciary have all played their part in covering up a sickness that has plagued the country for decades. 

​ The abuse of children by establishment paedophiles continues to this day, albeit on a lesser scale. The unaccountability of decades ago has been diluted by the information age.

Yet, powerful players in the corridors of power still have a vested interest in not only covering up the evil deeds of the past, but also indulging those who still engage in these heinous crimes.

Jimmy Savile 'boasted he wore huge rings made from the glass eyes of dead bodies'

Comment: "disgraced DJ and Presenter"? He was laughing all the way to his sordid grave. The only disgrace apparent here is how a society allowed such a monster to continue doing what he did for over four decades. 

Savile was a classic sexual psychopath and probable handler for the Establishment which is full of similar types of people who wear their "masks of sanity" very carefully indeed. This is helped by articles like this one where the sensational is on first and investigative journalism is consigned to the superficial. Until we wake up to the fact that we must radically change our social systems which are infested by such people and who have considerable legislative power - child abuse networks at the highest levels will continue.

Disgraced DJ and presenter Jimmy Savile subjected patients in NHS hospitals across the country to "truly awful" sexual abuse for more than four decades, a series of chilling reports have revealed. 

Savile's victims at hospitals ranged from five-year-old children to 75-year-old pensioners and included men, women, boys and girls, who were patients, visitors and staff, an investigation into claims of abuse at 28 NHS hospitals including Broadmoor psychiatric hospital has found.

Investigators were given "macabre accounts" of Savile "acting unacceptably" with dead bodies in the mortuary at Leeds General Infirmary.

One witness was cited in the report as saying he “wore huge rings that he said were made from the glass eyes of dead bodies” held in the mortuary there.

The investigation heard the entertainer claimed to have "interfered with the bodies of deceased patients".

Dr Sue Proctor, who led the investigation into his abuse at LGI, said a student nurse recalled a conversation with Savile in which he claimed he performed sex acts on the dead.

Cyril Smith abuse: council may face cover-up investigation

Greater Manchester police is examining whether to widen inquiry surrounding abuse of boys by the late Liberal MP

Police are reportedly reviewing whether there is evidence that alleged sexual abuse committed by the late Liberal MP Cyril Smith was covered up by individuals at Rochdale council.

An investigation is already under way into allegations that Smith raped boys at Rochdale's Knowl View residential school, which closed in 1992, and abused boys at the privately run Cambridge House children's care home, which closed in 1965.

Greater Manchester police is now examining whether to widen the force's inquiry to look into whether there was a coverup by individuals at Rochdale council, one of the local authorities that ran the Knowl View school.

Tim Farron, the president of the Liberal Democrats, said on Saturday that the party needed to answer serious questions about who knew that Smith faced allegations of sex abuse. Farron said a police investigation was the best way of dealing with the claims against the politician, who died in 2010 aged 82.
Smith was originally a Labour councillor in Rochdale and later a Liberal, then Liberal Democrat, MP for the town from 1972 to 1992.

"The party absolutely, as the Labour party must also … and indeed Rochdale civic society as a whole, need to answer serious questions as to who knew what and when," said Farron.

In a statement earlier this month, the Liberal Democrats denounced Smith as "repugnant" after a book by the most recent incumbent as MP in Smith's Rochdale seat, Labour's Simon Danczuk, detailed repeated crimes by the politician and drew similarities with serial sex offender Jimmy Savile.

Danczuk contested the Liberal party's assertion that it had been entirely ignorant. He told the Observer: "It is a nonsense for the Liberals to claim they knew nothing. Senior Liberal MPs like [former member] Michael Meadowcroft have already admitted they knew of the rumours and didn't do much to investigate them."

An independent review into the way Knowl View was run is due to report back to Rochdale council next month. Andrew Warnock QC has been given the task of looking into all council decision making about the school, where Smith had served as chairman of governors.

Jimmy Savile’s principal residence was in Leeds and he travelled regularly toScarborough from 1960 onwards to visit his mother and to stay with her. He continued his close association with Scarborough after her death, staying there regularly in his flat at the Esplanade. It follows from this that the full and meticulous investigation of his activities in Leeds and Scarborough are of critical interest to Operation Yewtree, the Home Office, HM Inspector of Constabulary and the IPCC in determining why it was that he was able to offend for so long, without being arrested by the Police.
Yet the West Yorkshire Police investigation into Savile, called Operation Newgreen, has been widely condemned as a farce.  Alan Collins, a solicitor representing 40 of Savile’s victims, is quoted in the press as having told ITV’s Daybreak programme:

“The report begs a lot more questions. It provides some answers but the report reveals memories that are not as sharp as perhaps they ought to be, ‘can’t remember’, documents that can’t seem to be located. It doesn’t add up.  But my take is that there seems to be a collective myopia and the collective myopia is evidenced by Savile. He was able to run rings around the police for decades. He used police officers.  He was ingrained with them, dovetailed with them.”

Unusually, Chief Constable Nick Gargan of Avon and Somerset has broken ranks and also criticised West Yorkshire Police over its handling of its Savile enquiry. He is quoted in the Yorkshire Post as saying:

“It seems clear to me that Operation Newgreen does not have the look and feel of an independent report. As I turned from one page to the next, I saw example after example of the author putting the case for West Yorkshire Police. At times this case was put with some force and emotion and more than a hint of exasperation with other bodies. In that respect, Operation Newgreen was unsuccessful if it was its intention to give an impression of independent assurance: it may even have had the effect of strengthening suspicion that West Yorkshire Police was at the very least being defensive.”

Mr Gargan suggested the force carry out a “very open and public examination of its actions” and a public engagement strategy to deal with issues raised by the review. He said:

“I think you will benefit from a situation in which your staff respond to criticism with the questions ‘maybe this person has a point’ more readily than ‘how do I prove them wrong?’.

North Yorkshire Police deny all knowledge
The initial response of North Yorkshire Police was to deny all knowledge, despite the fact that Savile had been mentioned in the press and on the BBC regularly as living in Scarborough and was well known there as a Freeman of the Borough. A force spokesman commented in 2012:

“When the allegations surrounding Jimmy Savile were publicised, we carried out extensive searches of force records which did not reveal a local connection”.

Given that North Yorkshire Police nevertheless provided Savile with a police car and driver to take him to a community event for young people it had organised in Selby in 2008, where Savile shared the platform with the Chief Constable, this was clearly a lie.

‘Without a change in the law, there’ll be another Savile’ - Keir Starmer says professionals should be forced to report suspected child abuse

I think  this is a step in the right direction but until there is a widespread cleansing of child rape networks which exists in 99.9% of our government institutions and bodies then this mandatory law will be by-passed just as it has been for decades. What it will lead to is low-level abusers being tried and a lot of innocent people being wrongfully accused which is just how the Establishment likes it and which is exactly what has happened and is still happening. Unless the body is 100% independent and decentralised from any political and civil agency - it will fail in much the same way as so many commissions and inquiries have failed.

Anyone that thinks that people like Savile operate alone are much mistaken. If a high profile entertainer can get away with it in the public eye what do think goes on in institutions which exist through secrecy?  Societal collusion borne of fear and self-interest is just as much part of a society which has been groomed to turn away as it is the more overt forms of pathological perceptions. Follow the money trail where arms, drugs, banking and trafficking meet and you'll find the sticky fingers of most well known government, intelligence and military agencies in the thick of it. And you have US and British media serving as gatekeepers for whoel sick charade. That isn't some new conspiracy. it's simply what is.

‘Without a change in the law, there’ll be another Savile’ - Keir Starmer says professionals should be forced to report suspected child abuse

Teachers, doctors and social workers who fail to report concerns over suspected cases of child abuse should face criminal charges, one of Britain’s most senior barristers has said. 

 

Keir Starmer, the former Director of Public Prosecutions, has reignited calls for mandatory reporting which would compel all professionals to report suspicions of child abuse or face legal consequences.

In comments to the BBC’s Panorama programme, to be broadcast tonight, Mr Starmer will call for Britain to consider a “very straightforward, simple scheme” that would “change the law and close a gap that’s been there for a very long time”.

The programme will also claim that senior civil servants knew for decades that children’s homes and schools had covered up cases of child abuse.  Mr Starmer’s call was supported by the Church of England, with Bishop Paul Butler, chairman of the church’s National Safeguarding Committee, saying: “We have to think of the child first, not ourselves, not the institution. [We must do] what’s best for the child.”

Liz Dux, of Slater & Gordon, the law firm representing 60 of Jimmy Savile’s victims, said she believed that, had there been a mandatory reporting law, details of his abuse could have been passed to the police as early as 1964.

“Countless victims suffered sickening attacks in institutions that were entrusted to keep them safe. Without mandatory reporting legislation, we risk another Savile case,” she said.

Mandatory reporting is already  enshrined in law in Canada, Australia, Denmark and several US states including Florida, where a failure to report such cases can result attract a $1m (£600,000) fine. Mr Starmer wants Britain to follow suit with a “direct and clear law everybody understands”.
“The problem is [that] if you haven’t got a central provision requiring people to report, then all you can do is fall back on other provisions that aren’t  really designed for that purpose and that usually means they run into difficulties,” he said.
