US is manufacturing a crisis in Venezuela so that there is chaos and ‘needed’ intervention

Eva Barlett

Venezuela is America’s current target for mass destabilization in the hope of installing a puppet government.
America has for years been waging an economic war against Venezuela, including debilitating sanctions which have dramatically affected the state’s ability to purchase medicines, and even mundane replacement parts needed in buses, ambulances, etc. Alongside the economic war there has been a steady propaganda war, but in recent months, the propaganda has escalated dramatically, from corporate media to US political figures.

Venezuela is described as “the country pilots are refusing to fly to,” as per a March 18, 2019, AP article on American Airlines cancelling all flights to Venezuela, containing scary phrases like “safety concerns” and “civil unrest.”

On March 9, American cancelled my Miami-Caracas flight on the basis that there wasn’t enough electricity to land at Caracas airport. Strangely enough, the Copa flight I took the following day after an overnight in Panama had no problem landing, nor did Copa flights on the day of my own cancelled flight, according to Copa staff.

The cancellation of flights to Venezuela then lends legitimacy to the shrill tweets of Marco Rubio, Mike Pence, John Bolton, and the previously unknown non-president, Juan Guaido.

I’ve been in various areas of Caracas since March 10, and I’ve seen none of this “civil unrest” that corporate media are talking about. I’ve walked around Caracas, usually on my own, and haven’t experienced the worry for my safety corporate media is telling Westerners they should suddenly feel more than normal in Venezuela.

Defence industry poised for billion dollar profits from global riot ‘contagion’

INSURGE Intelligence

This exclusive is published by INSURGE INTELLIGENCE, a crowd-funded investigative journalism project for the global commons
The next five years will see the international market for ‘riot control systems’ boom to a value of more than $5 billion at an annual growth rate of 5%, according to a new report by a global business intelligence firm.

The report forecasts a dramatic rise in civil unrest across the world, including in North America and Europe, driven by an increase in Ferguson-style incidents and “extremist attacks.”

The Middle East, North Africa and Asia-Pacific regions will also experience a persistent rise in conflicts.

This increasing trend in instability promises billions of dollars of profits for global defence firms, concludes the report, published last month by Infiniti Research Ltd., a market intelligence firm whose clients include Fortune 500 companies.

“Protests, riots, and demonstrations are major issues faced by the law enforcement agencies across the world,” said Abhay Singh, a lead defence technology analyst at the firm. “In addition the increase in incidents of civil wars in countries such as Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, and Egypt along with an increase in the global defence budget will generate demand for riot control systems.”

Europe, the Middle East and Africa will be the largest market, collectively experiencing a rate of growth at over 5%, exceeding $2 billion by 2020. Under the subheading, ‘EMEA: increase in extremist attacks to boost growth’, the report, priced at over $2,000, explains:
“Over the past years, Europe witnessed an increase in extremist attacks, which has raised concerns among the law enforcement and defense industries to equip themselves with modern equipment and protect civilians from external threats. In 2015, the Paris attacks and the killing of journalists in France are some of the examples of growing terrorism in Europe.”
The combination of intensifying conflict, terrorism, and civil unrest will lead to rocketing demand for riot control systems over the next 5 years “led by Germany, Russia, France, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the UAE, Iran, and South African countries.”

Ukraine at the Brink to NATO-backed Civil War as West Demands Transitional Government

Comment: Excellent article. Gives a clear and accessible appraisal of how NATO and American backed forces are doing what they have been doing for many decades: regime change for resources. And in this case, to make sure that Russia becomes the new Cold War villain once more.

---------------------------

The US Independent

The Death toll in the Ukrainian capital has risen to 67, hundreds, including 500 police officers, have been injured by gunshot wounds. After protesters armed with assault rifles and handguns opened fire at both co-protesters, journalists and unarmed police, killing 26, Tuesday night, the Interior Ministry has authorized the use of firearms against armed radicals in Kiev’s burning Maidan Square. The situation in Kiev reflects the modus operandi that has been observed in Yugoslavia, Libya, Syria and Egypt. The foreign ministers of France, Germany and Poland are in Kiev, calling for the immediate establishment of a “transitional government”.

Interior Ministry authorized use of Firearms by Police – 67 Police Officers feared taken Hostage by armed Rioters.

Today, the Interior Minister of the Ukraine,Vitaly Zakharchenko, authorized security forces to use firearms in mass riots. The decision came after three more police officers had been killed, bringing the death toll among police up to thirteen, and after more than hundred additional police officers had been injured by gunfire. Zakharchenko issued a statement, saying:

“As part of the work of the anti-terrorist center of the Security Service of the Ukraine, I have signed the respective orders – the law enforcers have been handed combat weapons, which will be used in accordance with the law of  the Ukraine”.
After the announcement, Zakharchenko addressed the armed rioters and opposition leaders, demanded that the arms are laid down immediately and that opposition leaders dissociate themselves from the use of firearms. Stressing that this statement was published on the ministry’s website, for everyone to read, Zakharchenko said:

“The Interior Ministry demands that the extremists voluntarily lay down their weapons and return to peaceful protesting. The leaders and representatives of the opposition, who are able to make a sober estimate of the situation, must disassociate themselves from the radicals and must not support them any further”.
Up until today, the Ukrainian police had, despite the fact that armed rioters killed scores and injured hundreds, not been authorized to use firearms. The Interior Minister stressed that Ukrainian law authorizes the use of firearms by police;

“To protect citizens from attacks which are posing a danger to their life and health, to rescue hostages, to counter life-threatening attacks on police officers and members of their families, as well as to thwart attacks on homes, government buildings or specially protected sites”.
Maidan_Kiev_February_19_2014_UkrainePolice Officers Held Hostage. The Interior Ministry stressed that police also are authorized to use firearms to free seized government buildings and kidnapped law enforcement officers and added, that Rioters have seized 67 police officers who are being held hostage. The statement stipulates that;

During extremist attacks on law enforcers, 67 troopers were captured. So far, nothing is known regarding the state of their health and their fate”.
While the Ministry and police maintain that the shooting on Tuesday was committed by Rioters, some media quote Rioters as stating that 70 protesters had been killed by gunshot wounds Tuesday night. Although there are images of slain protesters, the information is inconsistent with forensic reports which state that those who were killed had been injured by munitions that were not used by law enforcement. Moreover, the government maintains that it is only today, Thursday 20 February, that police has been authorized to use firearms.

Modus Operandi the same as in Yugoslavia, Libya, Syria and Egypt. A brief Review of Historical Precedence. The Rioters claims about the police use of firearms, killing “protesters” is practically identical with the NATO backed subversions in Yugoslavia, Libya, Syria and Egypt.

Yugoslavia War planned since Mid-70s.

The retired French Brig. General Pierre Marie Gallois admitted in a video-recorded interview, that the subversion and war against Yugoslavia had been planned by German, French, British and other NATO member’s top-politicians and military brass in meetings near the German city of Munich, since the mid-70s.

Police Beating A 16 Year Old Girl Sparked London Riots Violence

David DeGraw mentions:

I consider the London riots that took place over the weekend in Tottenham to be part of the global rebellion. This is what happens when you bury people in poverty and then make cuts to social programs, as the UK has recently enacted harsh austerity throughout the country. In this roundup, you will see that the people are using this as a rallying point to fight back against austerity, and the riots are now spreading throughout the country. The Guardian makes this point here:

Spending cuts, police lay behind UK riot, locals say
Anger at high unemployment and cuts in public services, coupled with resentment of the police, contributed to an explosion of violence and looting in a deprived London neighborhood, residents said Sunday….
Rioters set police patrol cars, buildings and a double-decker bus on fire. Others took advantage of the police being occupied to loot a nearby retail park, smashing shop windows and hauling away televisions, computers and sports shoes….
Several said long-mounting frustration over the gloomy economic situation, which has led the government to slash many public services to rein in a big budget deficit, and anger at what some saw as unfair treatment of ethnic minorities by the police, had boiled over.
Unemployed local man Scott Allen said he feared similar violence might happen in other parts of London.
“Tension is building because of the coalition government’s cost-cutting measures. People in the poorer communities of London and around the country are going to feel victimized,” Allen, who said he was in his 40s, told Reuters.” [read full report]

The riots in London have spread into neighbor suburbs tonight as reports emerge that peaceful protests turned violent after Police started beating a 16 year girl. Evidence has also emerged that police lied about the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting of the man which sparked the initial protests. The news in London is moving quite fast so here is the latest – For the absolute latest the Guardian’s live blog of the riots is here. 1) Evidence emerges that police lied about the killing of man which sparked the initially peaceful the protests.

Several UK newspapers are reporting evidence has emerged that casts doubt on the official police version about the fatal shooting that sparked the protests.

Police claimed that they were involved in a gun fight with a criminal gangster and shot him dead in response to a shot he first fired which they claimed barely missed an officer inside the car and was lodged in the radio of a police officers car.

The problem with the story is ballistics show the bullet recovered from the radio was actually a police officers gun and investigators have uncovered no evidence that the man shot dead even fired a gun.

The claim that man who was killed fired the bullet that was recovered from the radio when it was really a police bullet suggest the police tried planting evidence to cover up their misdeeds.

2) Eyewitnesses tell UK newspapers that the originally peaceful protests in turned violent after a 16 year girl threw a rock or some other object at the police. The police then responded with a force of 15 police officers who beat the girl on the ground with their shields The Daily Mail is quoted below. BBC interview with a first hand witness to the beating of the girl is also below.

3) Tonight marks the second night of riots which have spread beyond London and into neighboring suburbs of Brixton and Enfield. Unlike last nights spontaneous rights tonight’s riots were planned.
