Boy Scouts of America hit with even more sex abuse lawsuits

It’s another bad turn for the Boy Scouts of America.

The “Do a good turn daily” group has been hit with more sexual abuse lawsuits thanks to a state law allowing victims to bring new legal claims on old abuses.

The nine new suits were filed late Monday in both Manhattan Supreme Court and Nassau County Supreme Court by lawyers on behalf of victims who charge that they were sexually abused as children by scout leaders in the late 1950s, ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s.

The suits bring negligence claims made possible by the Child Victims Act, which took effect last week and opened a one-year window allowing victims to bring civil claims regardless of when the alleged abuse occurred.

“Defendants have known for decades that sexual predators had infiltrated scouting, desiring positions around children, due in part to their sexual interest in children,” the suits allege.

“Defendants knew or should have known of the danger that pedophiles presented to children participating in scouting before [plaintiffs were] abused.”

Every single piece of data about you, your health issues, your blood type, the model of the wireless pacemaker keeping you alive, every detail of every embarrassing medical problem in the hands of the Israeli state apparatus and potentially sold off to the highest bidder. You may think that this doesn't concern you. Why would you need to worry about a foreign far-right government which has been proven to meddle in the affairs of our country? Your data would be useless to them, surely? But that's not the world we live in anymore. Big data is the modern gold rush. The psychologists and marketing agents have mastered how to make you buy things; the next step is for them to successfully master making you do things, and for that kind of control over people, they need everybody's data.

When I was first researching the Jeffrey Epstein case, I trawled through every piece of official documentation that was available. I knew what I was looking for and how very dangerous it was. I had begun attempting to identify state assets through their movements, actions, associations, and by good old fashioned detective work. I was interested in identifying any MI5 or MI6 agents, Israeli Mossad, CIA, or any other part of a nation states spying apparatus. It's possibly one of the most dangerous hobbies on earth, spy hunting, and if I'm honest, I'm not even sure why I'm doing it. Regardless, Jeffrey Epstein's sweetheart deal was probably what they would give to a foreign intelligence operative. Epstein was a perfect place to begin fishing for potential spooks.

Once I find somebody who I suspect of being involved in espionage, I will track down all existing information on that individual and build the story of their lives as best as I can. I learn every known habit they have and instead of immediately writing an article about them, I just continue to note their activities with interest. I have been watching many potential state actors for a fair few years. I've also missed out on breaking a few good stories by waiting for too long. But I don't want to simply show you the past as much as I want to show you the present, and even possibly, the future.

Cover Up? Epstein Shipped $100K Cement Mixer To 'Pedo Island' Weeks Before Crushing Exposé

Approximately three weeks before a series of damning articles hit in the Miami Herald, Jeffrey Epstein paid up front to have a $100,000 cement mixer express-shipped to his infamous Little St. James 'pedo island' at great expense, according to the Daily Mail.

The pedophile, who was found dead by apparent suicide on Saturday while awaiting trial for sex trafficking, got the Carmix 5.5 XL self loading concrete mixer delivered to Little St. James on November 7 last year.
Epstein was in such a hurry that he paid for the machine up front so it would arrive sooner - even though it meant being responsible if it got damaged in transit.
Three weeks later the Miami Herald published a series of articles called 'Perversion of Justice' on November 28, which eventually led to Epstein being arrested in July.

The mixer can be seen in a drone video taken by YouTube user Rusty Shackleford. It appears buried in a storage warehouse behind some other equipment, however its barrel drum and other distinctive features can be made out.

Jeffrey Epstein, the billionaire who now sits in jail on federal charges for the sex trafficking of minors, has continued to draw media scrutiny in the weeks after his arrest on July 6. Part of the reason for this continued media interest is related to Epstein’s alleged relationship to the intelligence services and new information about the true extent of the sexual blackmail operation Epstein is believed to have run for decades.
 
As MintPress reported last week, Epstein was able to run this sordid operation for so long precisely because his was only the latest incarnation of a much older, more extensive operation that began in the 1950s and perhaps even earlier. 

Starting first with mob-linked liquor baron Lewis Rosenstiel and later with Roy Cohn, Rosenstiel’s protege and future mentor to Donald Trump, Epstein’s is just one of the many sexual blackmail operations involving children that are all tied to the same network, which includes elements of organized crime, powerful Washington politicians, lobbyists and “fixers,” and clear links to intelligence as well as the FBI. 

This report, Part II of this series titled “The Jeffrey Epstein Scandal: Too Big To Fail,” will delve into Cohn’s close ties to the Reagan administration, which was also closely tied to the same organized crime network led by the infamous mob figure Meyer Lansky, which was discussed in Part I. This is the fourth article in a series that is looking back on the major works of the publication that has altered the world since its founding in 2006. The series is an effort to counter mainstream media coverage, which is ignoring WikiLeaks' work, and is instead focusing on Julian Assange's personality. It is WikiLeaks' uncovering of governments' crimes and corruption that set the U.S. after Assange and which ultimately led to his arrest on April 11. In this article by Consortium News contributor Elizabeth Vos, originally published by her in 2017 on Disobedient Media, Vos looked at how WikiLeaks helped uncover evidence that showed Belgian case was part of a politically-protected child sex trafficking network. The Belgian case takes on added relevance in the wake of the arrest of financier Jeffery Epstein for alleged sex trafficking of children with allegations of Epstein's connections to powerful intelligence agencies. 
 
The case of notorious homicidal pedophile Marc Dutroux, now serving a life sentence in Belgium, is infamous for the deep depravity of the crimes that were committed and witnessed. Evidence emerged twice in the case, first in legal proceedings, secondly by the publication of many of the prosecution's records by WikiLeaks in 2009. 

The case was marked by the extreme suppression of evidence in what many have called a coverup perpetrated by the Belgian establishment. The episode is a definitive example of the exposure of deep judicial and political corruption leading to widespread public distrust in the legitimacy of their institutions of government. This sentiment has been echoed most recently in the U.S., where the primary rigging in 2016 by the Democratic National Committee left many feeling that the rule of law has come to mean little in the face of an utterly corrupt establishment that has become unaccountable to the public.

The Dutroux scandal set a precedent of mass public protest in response to such abuses, evident last year (2016) in South Korea's response to the scandal surrounding President Park Geun-hye and her advisor Choi Soon-Sil. 

It took the better part of a decade for the Belgian legal system to convict Marc Dutroux in 2004 for the mid-1990s kidnapping and rape of six girls, four of whom were murdered. The case was infamous for an inexplicably high number of mysterious deaths, suppression of evidence by the police, and numerous accounts from witnesses of extreme abuse perpetrated by a well-connected, violent pedophile ring.

The case prompted roughly 300,000 Belgians to take to the streets in 1996 in solidarity with the victims in "The White March," where protesters adopted a color that in Belgium is a sign of hope.

The Dutroux Affair left such deep scars on the consciousness of the Belgian population that roughly one third of Belgians who shared the surname Dutroux with the accused had their names legally changed. Despite the case having been legally concluded, many years later it is apparent that numerous significant elements of the important case remain unresolved.

Detectives investigating child sexual exploitation in Rotherham have arrested 40 people over the past two months. The 38 men and two women were questioned following allegations made by 13 victims about sexual abuse against them between 1997 and 2015. The National Crime Agency said the people arrested are aged between 29 and 53 and are from Sheffield, Rotherham, Leeds, Dewsbury, and Maidstone in Kent. All have been bailed or released under investigation pending further inquiries. The spokeswoman said the victims in the latest cases were aged between 11 and 26 at the time of the alleged offences. The National Crime Agency, often called 'Britain's FBI', is conducting a huge investigation after a 2014 report found more than 1,000 young girls had been abused in the South Yorkshire town. Scandals have since engulfed other towns and cities, including Newcastle, Telford and most recently Huddersfield, with a series of similar gangs jailed.

Vulnerable young victims were typically given drugs and alcohol before being passed around between men of Pakistani heritage to be raped and sexually assaulted at will. Authorities did little to tackle the abusers or save their young victims from their terrible ordeals, often due to fears over being labelled racist.

The latest arrests are part of the ongoing Operation Stovewood investigation. Towards the end of 2018, the NCA said it had 151 designated suspects, 275 other people under investigation and 296 female survivors of exploitation actively engaging with officers.

The NCA has full control of allegations between 1997 and 2013, with 250 staff and an annual budget that will soon reach £15 million a year.

Carl Vessey-Baitson from the National Crime Agency said: 'Arresting such a large number of individuals as part of one Stovewood sub-operation shows our desire to listen to victims and bring offenders to justice is not wavering.

Boy Scouts 'perversion files' covers thousands of alleged offenders, attorney says

A lawyer in New York alleges the Boy Scouts of America has “perversion files” on nearly 8,000 people who have been accused of sexually abusing children over the years. 

Victims’ rights attorney Jeff Anderson said at a Tuesday press conference the estimated number of suspected perpetrators sits at 7,819, with 12,254 victims. That's far higher than the roughly 1,247 alleged pedophiles revealed in 14,000 pages released to the public in 2012. 

“For many, many years there's been an excavation of what are called the ‘perversion files’ — those are files held and hoarded at the Boy Scouts of America headquarters,” Anderson said. “Those ‘perversion files’ that they've had reflect that they have removed thousands of offenders of childhood sexual abuse over the years, and they've kept that in files secretly.” 

 "That is a number not known before today or ever revealed by the Boy Scouts of America," Anderson added.

Boy Scouts of America said all of the individuals on the "Anderson list" have been reported to law enforcement and removed from scouting.

But he continues to quietly distribute his wealth—including to the nonprofits of Deepak Chopra, Elton John and a doctor linked to President Trump—through a shadowy private foundation called “Gratitude America, Ltd.,” The Daily Beast has learned.

Gratitude America, Ltd. was launched in 2012 to back “organizations around the world that seek to celebrate the United States of America and the American Ideals,” the group stated in its application for tax-exempt status. Those ideals, the nonprofit added, include “liberty, equality, democracy, individualism, unity, and diversity.” At the time, Epstein was three years out of jail, but disturbing allegations from his alleged victims, including one who claimed Epstein kept her as a “sex slave” for his famous friends, continued to hound him.

 

Epstein apparently needed some favorable news to change the narrative and embarked on a public relations crusade that depicted him as a renowned “science philanthropist,” rather than a convicted sex offender.

Not to be confused with GratitudeAmerica, Inc., a Florida nonprofit for veterans, Epstein’s latest private foundation doesn’t appear to have a website or online presence. The only traces of the group lie in tax returns, a fundraising site for multiple sclerosis, and a book of abstracts from a 2017 academic conference in California.

Child grooming on Instagram triples - targets are kids as young as five

The number of children targeted for grooming and abuse on Instagram has more than tripled - with some of the victims as young as five years old.

Figures obtained by the NSPCC suggest there were 5,161 reports of sexual communications with a child recorded in just 18 months.

Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram were used in 70% of those incidents.

Girls aged 12 to 15 were most likely to be targeted, but roughly one in five victims were under the age of 11.

The NSPCC's chief executive, Peter Wanless, has accused social media firms of "10 years of failed self-regulation".

He said: "These figures are overwhelming evidence that keeping children safe cannot be left to social networks."

The charity obtained freedom of information data from 39 of the 43 police forces in England and Wales.

Major companies pull YouTube ads following report of 'a soft-core pedophile ring'

Several major companies have reportedly pulled advertisements on YouTube following a report that the comment sections on the site have been used to facilitate "a soft-core pedophile ring." 

 

Bloomberg News reported Wednesday that Walt Disney Co. has joined Nestle and video game maker Epic Games in pulling advertising from YouTube, days after a YouTube user named Matt Watson uploaded a video explaining how YouTube comment sections are used to identify and share exploitative videos of young girls. 

 

Watson said in his video that YouTube's algorithm has helped facilitate the ability of pedophiles to trade social media contacts, provide links to "actual child porn" and trade "unlisted videos in secret." 

 

Bloomberg News cited "people with knowledge of the matter" in reporting that Disney has since withheld its advertising spending from YouTube.

Inside information into the years-long sex saga involving two former Louisville Metropolitan Police Department (LMPD) officers is now being revealed. The city commissioned former U.S. Attorney Kerry Harvey to investigate the LMPD Explorers program for children to determine if sexual misconduct, abuse, and even rape were widespread with police officers involved in the program.

Two former LMPD officers have been charged with serious crimes, as The Free Thought Project reported, and the city, with good reason, wanted to know more about how police handled the complaints from parents and reports children were being groomed, propositioned, and even raped.

As TFTP reported in October 2017:

Brandon Wood…allegedly raped a teenage boy, both in [his] car and in a residence, and filmed the crime for the purposes of producing pornography. [Kenneth] Betts and Wood were police officer mentors in the Youth Explorer Program for kids who want to one day become law enforcement officers. It was inside the mentorship program that they are accused of finding their victims.

The accusations were followed by lawsuits with one lawyer reportedly representing five victims abused by officers inside the Explorers program. Not only did parents accuse the police officers’ superiors of doing nothing about their criminal complaints, the Police Officers’ union also began to stonewall, filing a lawsuit in an attempt to prevent investigators from interviewing more cops.

(Support Free Thought) - Washington, D.C. – This week the U.S. Department of Justice announced the arrest of more than 2,300 suspected child sex offenders, including a member of the U.S. Secret Service, and identified nearly 400 abused children during the three-month operation that ended in May. Of those arrested, 195 were suspected of producing child pornography or committing child sexual abuse.

“No child should ever have to endure sexual abuse,” Attorney General Jeff Sessions noted in a Justice Department press release. “And yet, in recent years, certain forms of modern technology have facilitated the spread of child pornography and created greater incentives for its production. We at the Department of Justice are determined to strike back against these repugnant crimes. “

The operation, dubbed “Broken Heart,” was conducted by Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) taskforces operating in all 50 states across and involved more than 4,500 federal, state, local and tribal law enforcement agencies.

Operation Broken Heart, which is funded through the U.S. Justice Department’s Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, has been an annual law enforcement operation since its inception in 2014. It has resulted in the arrests of thousands of suspected child sex predators.

“It is estimated that at least 100,000 children—girls and boys—are bought and sold for sex in the U.S. every year, with as many as 300,000 children in danger of being trafficked each year. Some of these children are forcefully abducted, others are runaways, and still others are sold into the system by relatives and acquaintances,” according to the Rutherford Institute.

Files released by the FBI revealed that pedophile Jeffrey Epstein was given a lenient plea deal after he “provided information to the FBI as agreed upon."

In a strange and unexplained move, the Federal Bureau of Investigation announced on Thursday that it released a trove of documents from an investigation into billionaire hedge fund manager and convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, and one of the most notable revelations is that he appears to have worked as an FBI informant, in exchange for a lenient sentence.

After multiple underage girls in Florida reported that they were being paid by a mystery man to have sex with middle-aged men, and all roads led back to Epstein’s mansion, the FBI launched an investigation in 2006.

A report from The Guardian noted that federal prosecutors “identified 40 young women who may have been illegally procured by Epstein,” which easily should have resulted in Epstein spending years in prison if as many as half of the women testified against him.

Epstein was also caught running a child sex ring, in which he hosted rape parties for his wealthy friends on his private jet, the Lolita Express, and on his private island, which was referred to as “Orgy Island.”

It should have been a textbook case that would have made the FBI look heroic for putting a serial pedophile behind bars. However, the opposite happened.

Epstein agreed to a plea deal for one minor charge in 2008, and he ended up spending just 13 months in prison, out of the 18-month sentence he was given for “soliciting prostitution and procuring a minor for prostitution.”

In addition to the ridiculously light sentence, the Palm Beach Post reported that in exchange for the year Epstein spent in prison, “federal prosecutors agreed not to pursue allegations that he had abused dozens of other teenage girls, instead of allowing them to file civil lawsuits against Epstein.”

Washington D.C. Daycare Caught ‘Pimping Children’ – Pedophile Ring Busted

Police have conducted a raid at one of the largest daycare chains in the Washington D.C. region following allegations the children left in the care of the facility were being “pimped out” to a D.C. pedophile ring.

Officers in unmarked vehicles were seen at Minnieland Academy in Bristow, Virginia late Tuesday night, carrying computers and evidence including brown paper bags full of materials.

Bristow is a mostly upper-middle class commuter town located 30 miles from Washington D.C. populated by high-profile Democrat and Republican government officials and influential lobbyists.

Fox5 reports that former Minnieland employee Taylor Boykin has been accused of aggravated battery and indecent liberties. Boykin happens to live just a few blocks away from the daycare. His home was also raided by investigators earlier this week.

It’s the latest case of child abuse to hit the popular Northern Virginia daycare chain. The company has also dealt with lawsuits from a child cruelty scandal at Woodbridge in 2013 and a sexual assault incident at Centreville in 2010.
