Scientists Getting Closer to "Smart Dust" Brain Implants That Communicate Via Wireless Network

Neural Dust – “Smart Dust” – previously entered mainstream discussion via the 2016 Independentarticle: “Tiny implant could connect humans and machines like never before.” It was implied to be a new technology that can wirelessly link a human brain to a computer via the implantation of a device the size of a grain of sand. This invention, however, is much older and was officially supported by the National Nanotechnology Initiative 2011 Strategic Plan.

In 2013, I covered how researchers at Berkeley Engineering discussed moving nanotechnology from environmental sensor applications toward human applications such as brain-computer interfaces. Their paper stated:

A network of tiny implantable sensors could function like an MRI inside the brain, recording data on nearby neurons and transmitting it back out. The smart dust particles would all contain an extremely small CMOS sensor capable of measuring electrical activity in nearby neurons. The researchers envision a piezoelectric material backing the CMOS capable of generating electrical signals from ultrasound waves. The process would also work in reverse, allowing the dust to beam data back via high-frequency sound waves. The neural dust would also be coated with polymer. (Source)

Now scientists believe that they have crossed a new threshold toward making the concept of smart dust a reality that would offer a far wider scope than originally envisioned.  At the recent IEEE Conference, researchers from Brown University, Qualcomm and the University of California San Diego announced that they are the first to have achieved a wireless transfer of information from an implanted neural device to an external computer that interpreted the data received.

It allows bidirectional communication between the implants and an external device with an uplink rate of 10 megabits per second and a downlink rate of 1 Mb/s.
“We believe that we are the first group to realize wireless power transfer and megabits per second communications” in a neural implant, says Wing Ching (Vincent) Leung, technical director at the Qualcomm Institute Circuits Lab at UC San Diego.
Nurmikko calls the 0.25-square-millimeter implants “neurograins.” They each consist of a chip capable of harvesting RF energy; that chip powers an electrode that senses spikes of voltage from individual neurons, as well as the wireless communications. An antenna set outside of the skull provides the RF power, transmits to the implants, and receives data from them.

WHO Estimates High Levels of EMFs in 1st World Countries Could Lead to Health Issues in 30% of Population. New Watch Made To Fight Harmful Effects

In 2002, the U.S. Access Board recognized Electromagnetic Sensitivity as disabling.  In fact, “Microwave Sickness” and Electromagnetic Sensitivity are medical conditions that have been recognized worldwide for decades.

Decades of research from a variety of credible sources has already determined that exposure to all sources of “Electrosmog” – including cell phone and WiFi radiation – is harmful.  Exposure affects animals too.  Many doctors and scientists have petitioned governments worldwide to raise awareness about biological and environmental harm caused by sources of Electrosmog and to also reduce it.  Since 2017, 240+ doctors and scientists have signed a petition demanding a moratorium on 5G wireless installation (see 1, 2, 3, 4).  Communities have asked for moratoriums on 5G as well.

For those who can afford it, a new product is being offered to help reduce the harmful effects of exposure.

5G danger: Hundreds of respected scientists sound alarm about health effects of 5G networks going up nationwide

Even though many in the scientific community are loudly warning about the potential health effects that 5G technology could have on the general population, Verizon and AT&T are starting to put up their 5G networks in major cities all across the nation. Today, the total number of cell phones exceeds the entire population of the world, and the big cell phone companies are making a crazy amount of money providing service to all of those phones. And now that the next generation of cell phone technology has arrived, millions of cell phone users are looking forward to better connections and faster speeds than ever before. In fact, President Trump says that 5G networks will be up to 100 times faster than the current 4G networks that we are using right now...

5G will be as much as 100 times faster than the current 4G cellular networks. It will transform the way our citizens work, learn, communicate, and travel. It will make American farms more productive, American manufacturing more competitive, and American healthcare better and more accessible. Basically, it covers almost everything, when you get right down to it. Pretty amazing.

And just as 4G networks paved the way for smartphones and all of the exciting breakthroughs - they made possible so many things - this will be more secure and resilient. 5G networks will also create astonishing and really thrilling new opportunities for our people - opportunities that we've never even thought we had a possibility of looking at.

Sounds great, right?

But in order to achieve such vastly superior performance, 5G networks will use technology that is completely different from 4G networks.

5G waves are "ultra high frequency" and "ultra high intensity", but they are also easily absorbed by objects such as buildings and trees. So although cell towers will be much, much smaller, but they will also have to be much, much closer together than before. According to CBS News, it is estimated that the big cell phone companies will be putting up at least 300,000 of these small towers, and it has been projected that it will cost hundreds of billions of dollars to fully set up the 5G network nationwide.

Needless to say, there is a tremendous amount of money at stake, and the big cell phone companies are trying very hard to assure everyone that 5G technology is completely safe.

But is it?

Another Elected Official Asks The FCC To Provide Documentation That 5G Is Safe

Thanks to Environmental Health Trust for reporting about New York congressman Thomas Suozzi’s request to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC):

Congressman Thomas Suozzi, representing New York’s 3rd Congressional District sent a letter to the FCC asking for safety data on 5G. He joins Rep. Peter A. DeFazio  House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman, who wrote a letter to FCC Chairman Pai and acting FDA Commissioner Sharpless and Senator Blumenthal and U.S. Representative Anna G. Eshoo sent a letter to FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr seeking answers the safety data on 5G wireless technology.

EHTrust also recently reported about the same request made by Representative Peter A. DeFazio of Oregon. 

In February the Telecom Industry told a congressional committee that they knew of no scientific studies that prove 5G technology is safe. 

There is already research that has proven 5G is harmful and that all other sources of wireless radiation are harmful too.

Brussels Becomes First Major City to Halt 5G Due to Health Effects

Great news. A Belgian government minister has announced that Brussels is halting its 5G plans due to health effects.

The statement was made by Céline Fremault, the Minister of the Government of the Brussels-Capital Region, responsible for Housing, Quality of Life, Environment and Energy. From an interview last Friday, with L’Echo:

“I cannot welcome such technology if the radiation standards, which must protect the citizen, are not respected, 5G or not. The people of Brussels are not guinea pigs whose health I can sell at a profit. We cannot leave anything to doubt.”

– Céline Fremault, Minister of the Government (Brussels-Captial Region), responsible for Housing, Quality of Life, Environment and Energy

Ms. Fremault accurately identified that a 5G pilot project is not compatible with Belgian radiation safety standards (9 V/m, or 95 mW/m2 according to this online converter), and stated that she does not intend to make an exception. (In the Building Biology guidelines, the threshold for extreme concern is 1 mW/m2. However, many government agencies still only consider thermal effects, instead of the cumulative body of thousands of peer-reviewed scientific studies.)

Perhaps with Brussels heading up the European Union, and with one of the two major 5G appeals being addressed to the EU, officials there are better informed and motivated to protect themselves.

May support increase for Ms. Fremault and all officials who are hearing the call to sanity and prioritizing the people over the technocratic oligarchy.

The Deadlock between China and the West is taking its Toll on New Zealand’s Economy

Throughout 2018, the trade war mounted between China and the US. This is part of a larger standoff between China and the English-speaking world led by America, which is not only putting obvious economic interests at stake, but is also creating security issues and questioning who should possess global leadership in technology. The states who are getting involved in this dispute on the US side will suffer significant losses due to the disruption of long-established economic relations with China. One of these states is New Zealand.

New Zealand has traditionally been seen as an important player in the Anglosphere and a close partner of the United States. The two countries are engaged in close economic, political and military cooperation, which dates back to the Second World War. In 1951, along with the United States and Australia, New Zealand signed the ANZUS Security Treaty, created to oppose communist insurgencies in South-East Asia and the USSR which was supporting these movements. Later, New Zealand–United States relations began to deteriorate due to widespread protests against the Vietnam War in New Zealand, and also because New Zealand refused to host nuclear weapons on its territory. Then a new period began, relations started to thaw, and in 2012, New Zealand and the US signed the Washington Declaration, which was also aimed at strengthening the countries’ defense relations.

It would appear that the current trade war between China and the United States has gotten tangled up in a more significant rivalry between two different civilizations, between China and the Western world. The massive attack on Huawei is taking place right now, just when humanity is on the verge of making a large-scale transition from fourth generation wireless communication (4G) to 5G mobile communication and internet. The companies and countries whose technologies will be most in demand during this transition will become world leaders in technology for many years to come. For hundreds of years, the West has become grown used to leadership, and even given all of its current development, China was used to copying Western technology.

However, we are now in a situation where Chinese telecom companies, primarily Huawei, have the potential to become the most popular in the world, they could seize the key global markets and begin setting new international standards for internet and mobile communications, overtaking and replacing their Western competitors. Apart from this, the use of Chinese equipment in US telecom networks actually puts America in a position where it is dependent on China to a certain extent, which would also provide China with a lot of scope for intelligence activities. Thus, although China’s main rival is the United States, US partners in the Five Eyes Alliance do not want to grant China access to their 5G networks either, and are not hesitant to support Washington’s war against Huawei and ZTE. New Zealand is no exception. Whether or not the country shares its partners’ fears of Chinese intelligence is neither here nor there; New Zealand has no other choice than to follow suit and align itself with the Five Eyes.

In November 2018, New Zealand’s Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) said that using Huawei technologies in the New Zealand 5G broadband network–which a local company called Spark is working on–poses a threat to the New Zealand’s national security. As a result, Spark has been banned from purchasing or using equipment from Huawei. In December of the same year, the GCSB published a report, claiming that New Zealand had been repeatedly subjected to hacking, allegedly involving Chinese hackers.

The Chinese took offence at these actions, which had an adverse effect that soon became visible in China-New Zealand relations. China has begun to make things more complicated for New Zealand’s companies operating on Chinese territory, and has been reducing the number of exchange of students sent to and from New Zealand, etc. New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern also had to cancel her visit to Beijing. The visit was planned for the beginning of 2019, but the Chinese have put the invitation on hold, citing “clashes in their schedules.” Given that this trip was to be Jacinda Ardern’s first official visit to China as the new Prime Minister of New Zealand, such an affront could cast a shadow over relations between the two countries for years to come.

In January 2019, the Chinese government issued a recommendation for employees at China’s large state-owned companies, telling them to avoid trips to countries that are Five Eye Contributors, including New Zealand. If the trip is unavoidable, China recommends that its citizens coordinate all their actions with the authorities and take extra security precautions to protect information, for example by using special electronic media, etc.

If You Don’t Want Dangerous 5G Technology Installed Throughout Your Community, Boycott 5G Companies

From December 5, 1955 until November 23, 1956, African Americans in Montgomery, Alabama stopped riding public buses until they were legally allowed to sit wherever they wanted.  This is one of many examples of how voting with your money makes a difference.

Organization, No5G.com suggests that there is no better time than to vote with your money AGAINST dangerous 5G technology.

The Telecom Industry can’t even prove that 5G is safe.

BUT current laws still make it legal for them to install it everywhere so they are – in front of homes, hospitals, schools, etc. throughout communities in the U.S. and around the world.  EVERYWHERE.

Suggestions from No5G include:

• Don’t buy any of the 5G gadgets that are already being advertised.
• Boycott SpaceX, OneWeb, Boeing and any other corporations that are involved in the launch of 5G satellites.
• Display posters on your house’s windows to alert your neighbors about the real 5G grid that they are building.
• Organize local discussion groups to exchange information with others from your area.
• Educate your local elected officials about 5G.
• Force your government to reveal its knowledge about the dangers of 5G infrastructure.
• Inform the telecom workers who install the 5G grid near you about how this hurts them and their children.
• Don’t use (“free”) WiFi in public spaces.

Even if you can’t do absolutely everything, every little bit helps.

We are in the midst of a 5G wireless technology rollout, and politicians have yet to address safety concerns. I recently used Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as an example, but it's happening worldwide. It's one of many examples that illustrates how large corporations completely control politics. I also recently wrote about Robert F. Kennedy explaining how this came to be, and how they've been able to completely compromise government, big media, and our federal regulatory agencies that are supposed to be protecting and informing us.

In the video, he uses Big Pharma as an example, as they provide the most money to congress; even more so than big oil and gas. In that article I also outline multiple examples of fraud so readers can get a clearer picture of what's going on and see some actual evidence of it.

It's clear that we are not being protected, and politicians are simply abiding to the the will of their masters, the big corporations, who in turn act as slaves to their 'financial overlords,' the big banks. We continue to see products and services being approved and implemented without ever going through any safety testing. This is a big problem, and one of the main reasons why we could be seeing a drastic rise in multiple diseases and ailments, especially when it comes to neuropsychiatric disorders. A study titled "Microwave frequency electromagnetic fields (EMFs) produce widespread neuropsychiatric effects including depression" published in the Journal of Chemical Neuroanatomy outlines this quite clearly, and it's only one of thousands of peer-reviewed studies raising multiple concerns in regards to this type of technology.

Is there really any concern for the well being of humanity within these institutions? If not, why do we continue to support them? Is it because we're under the illusion that there is actual concern? And why do we continue to take power away from ourselves by electing corrupt politicians?

The Dangers of 5G to Children’s Health

Mobile and wireless technologies are a ubiquitous feature of modern life. Most U.S. adults own smartphones, a growing proportion are “smartphone-only” Internet users and over a fourth report being online “almost constantly.” As for children, a 2014 survey of high-income nations reported that almost seven in ten children used a mobile phone, and two-thirds of those had a smartphone, usually by age 10. As described by Nielsen, it is now as common to see “a kid with a smartphone in their hand” as it was to see “a kid playing with a yo-yo in the years before the digital age.”

The enthusiasm with which the public has embraced each new mobile and wireless technology—most of which have never undergone any appropriate safety testing or standards development—suggests that consumers rarely stop to consider the health implications of the infrastructure shoring up their ability to browse, stream and download anytime and “on the go.” Consumers are not entirely to blame for their lack of awareness—it is not easy to disentangle the technologies’ health risks in the face of the telecommunications industry’s steady and calculated disinformation efforts and a captured Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that “follows the script of fabulously wealthy, bullying, billion-dollar beneficiaries of wireless.”

Now, however, a global 5G “frenzy” is upon us and is coming into full force. Far from a simple “next-gen” upgrade, powerful 5G (fifth-generation) networks and technology are about to subject everyone, on a continuous basis, to unprecedented forms and amounts of what retired U.S. government physicist Dr. Ronald Powell calls “mandatory irradiation”—without “prior study of the potential health impact” or any assurance of safety. Considering that young people (with their smaller body mass and developing brains) are particularly vulnerable to radiation, the Environmental Health Trust has termed 5G “the next great unknown experiment on our children”—and the entire human population.

Brain hacking: Heavy use of wireless devices changes brain structure in children

Most people today live in a sea of radio frequencies emitted from wireless technologies of all kinds, from routers to smartphones, tablets, baby monitors, TVs, appliances, smart meters and many more.

According to many experts, chronic, heavy exposure could have severe repercussions for our health, especially that of children, who are now exposed even before birth. Research also suggests interaction with social media, games and apps online produces a number of effects, both physical and psychological.

In the largest long-term study^1,2,3 of brain development and youth health in the U.S., the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) Study,⁴ reveals the brains of the most prolific users of electronic devices look different compared to those who use smartphones, tablets and video games less frequently.

In all, more than 11,000 children will be followed for a decade to assess how various childhood experiences and environments affect brain development and psychological health. As noted by the researchers,⁵ "The data will provide a resource of unprecedented scale and depth for studying typical and atypical development." These preliminary findings, based on the brain scans of 4,500 9- to 10-year-olds, reveal children who use electronic devices for seven hours or more each day have premature thinning of the brain cortex, the outer brain layer that processes information from the five physical senses (taste, touch, sight, smell and sound).

The exact ramifications of this anomaly are still unknown. According to Dr. Gaya Dowling, a researcher with the National Institutes of Health, which is sponsoring the $300 million study, thinning of the cortex is thought to be part of the brain maturation process, so what these scans are showing is that this process is being sped up in children who get a lot of screen time6 (7-plus hours a day).

5G Corporate Grail. Microwave Radiation

There’s a lot of hype about #5G, the fifth-generation wireless technology that is being rolled out in various “5G test beds” in major cities including Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa, New York, and Los Angeles. But it’s hard to see why we should be excited. Proponents talk about the facilitation of driverless vehicles and car-to-car “talk,” better Virtual Reality equipment, and, of course, “The Internet of Things” (IoT) – the holy grail of Big Tech that is just vague enough to sound sort of promising.

But when it comes to specifics, there seems to be a lot of hot air in the IoT bag.

For example, in March 2018, Canada’s Innovation Minister Navdeep Bains, while pumping $400 million into 5G test beds, reportedly “gushed” about IoT applications, including “refrigerators that monitor food levels and automatically order fresh groceries.”

Then there is the 5G proponent who enthused to CBC News (March 19, 2018) about “augmented reality headsets” being replaced by “a pair of normal looking glasses,” which everyone would be wearing in 10 years. Those glasses would “automatically recognize everyone you meet, and possibly be able to overlay their name in your field of vision, along with a link to their online profile.”

Apparently, the future human will be too brain-addled to make a grocery list or remember the names of acquaintances… which may not be the image that 5G proponents are hoping for.

“There are thousands of published studies that show that even low levels of microwave radiation do cause a biological effect.”

Amidst all the #5G hype, it’s rare to find a blunt statement like this one from Eluxe Magazine’s Jody McCutcheon: “Until now mobile broadband networks have been designed to meet the needs of people. But 5G has been created with machines’ needs in mind, offering low-latency, high-efficiency data transfer…. We humans won’t notice the difference [in data transfer speeds], but it will permit machines to achieve near-seamless communication. Which in itself may open a whole Pandora’s box of trouble for us – and our planet.”

Just as any new technology claims to offer the most advanced development; that their definition of progress will cure society’s ills or make life easier by eliminating the drudgery of antiquated appliances, the Wifi Alliance  was organized as a worldwide wireless network to connect ‘everyone and everything, everywhere” as it promised “improvements to nearly every aspect of daily life.”  

The Alliance, which makes no pretense of potential health or environmental concerns, further proclaimed (and they may be correct) that there are “more wifi devices than people on earth”.   It is that inescapable exposure to ubiquitous wireless technologies wherein lies the problem.   

Soon after the 1895 discovery of xrays, the budding new technology was not without its health risks of burns and hair loss.  Yet the use of electromagnetic radiation (EMR) has evolved at a dramatic exponential rate from Marie Curie’s day into a mega-trillion dollar omnipotent industry creating a world totally dependent on its pernicious wireless applications.

The medical and scientific data is overwhelming and irrefutable as the wireless industry, the MSM and government agencies, frequently the last to acknowledge a pervasive health problem, continue to protect the industry from widespread public awareness of the insidious effects of the latest generation of digital by-products.   

Even prior to the 1997 introduction of commercially available wifi devices which has saturated every industrialized country, EMF wifi hot spots were everywhere.  Today with the addition of cell and cordless phones and towers, broadcast antennas, smart meters and the pervasive computer wifi, both adults and especially vulnerable children are surrounded 24-7 by an inescapable presence with little recognition that all radiation exposure is cumulative.

Israeli Company Is Selling Autonomous Surveillance Systems to Governments Around the World

An Israeli company has announced plans to launch new “autonomous” surveillance products which are specifically designed to monitor large metropolitan areas.
On Thursday, Israeli surveillance technology company Jenovice announced a slew of new surveillance products aimed at monitoring Wi-Fi enabled devices in order to gain intelligence on targets. The announcement was part of a presentation – “Tactical Wi-Fi Interception – Identify, Acquire, Intercept” – given at the Intelligence Support Systems for Electronic Surveillance, Social Media/DarkNet Monitoring and Cyber Crime Investigations, or ISS World Europe Conference, in Prague.  Jenovice stated the presentation would “go over the challenges, limitations and operational solutions in tactical WiFi interception missions. We will cover the following: identifying targets, acquiring them and manipulating Wi-Fi enabled devices to extract intelligence.”

 

Jenovice’s announcement was first reported by CyberScoop in late May. CyberScoop elaborated on the new surveillance products being sold by Jenovice.

Jenovice’s Metropolink, which is only available for law enforcement and intelligence agencies, is sold as an “autonomous” surveillance system meant to monitor entire metropolitan areas. The capabilities list reads like hacker tech from a Jason Bourne movie: It’s advertised as being able to locate, list, map, track, analyze and visualize all Wi-Fi networks and identities across whatever environment a customer chooses.

CyberScoop explains that Metropolink works due to a network of sensors which are to be strategically placed around a large populated area. These sensors track various electronic devices via the MAC address and geolocation. This includes phones which are broadcasting and collecting Wi-Fi information. These sensors have a range of about 500 meters. Jenovice advertises that Metropolink can detect and track suspects even while moving at high speeds in vehicles. CyberScoop notes that Jenovice sells Metropolink as a “passive” technology which allows for less regulations and does not require a warrant in many countries. However, the term passive is a bit of a misnomer.

“Categorizing the product as ‘passive,’ however, doesn’t tell the whole story. Like the company’s long-distance Wi-Fi interception device Piranha, Metropolink can easily be used to inject malicious payloads into targets, according to a Jenovice employee,”  CyberScoop reported. “That capability can be added with a license upgrade.”

Wireless system can power devices inside the body

MIT researchers, working with scientists from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, have developed a new way to power and communicate with devices implanted deep within the human body. Such devices could be used to deliver drugs, monitor conditions inside the body, or treat disease by stimulating the brain with electricity or light.

The implants are powered by radio frequency waves, which can safely pass through human tissues. In tests in animals, the researchers showed that the waves can power devices located 10 centimeters deep in tissue, from a distance of 1 meter.

“Even though these tiny implantable devices have no batteries, we can now communicate with them from a distance outside the body. This opens up entirely new types of medical applications,” says Fadel Adib, an assistant professor in MIT’s Media Lab and a senior author of the paper, which will be presented at the Association for Computing Machinery Special Interest Group on Data Communication (SIGCOMM) conference in August.

Electromagnetic radiation from power lines and phone masts poses 'credible' threat to wildlife, report finds

Electromagnetic radiation from power lines, wi-fi, phone masts and broadcast transmitters poses a ‘credible’ threat to wildlife, a new report suggests, as environmentalists warned the 5G roll out could cause greater harm. 

 

An analysis of 97 studies by the EU-funded review body EKLIPSE concluded that radiation is a potential risk to insect and bird orientation and plant health. 

 

However the charity Buglife warned that despite good evidence of the harms there was little research ongoing to assess the impact, or apply pollution limits. 

 

The charity said ‘serious impacts on the environment could not be ruled out’ and called for 5G transmitters to be placed away from street lights, which attract insects, or areas where they could harm wildlife. 

 

Matt Shardlow, CEO of Buglife said: “We apply limits to all types of pollution to protect the habitability of our environment, but as yet, even in Europe, the safe limits of electromagnetic radiation have not been determined, let alone applied. 

 

“There is a credible risk that 5G could impact significantly on wildlife, and that placing transmitters on LED street lamps, which attract nocturnal insects such as moths increases exposure and thereby risk. 

 

“Therefore we call for all 5G pilots to include detailed studies of their influence and impacts on wildlife, and for the results of those studies to be made public.”

The first wireless flying robotic insect takes off

Engineers have created RoboFly, the first wireless flying robotic insect. RoboFly is slightly heavier than a toothpick and is powered by a laser beam. 

Insect-sized flying robots could help with time-consuming tasks like surveying crop growth on large farms or sniffing out gas leaks. These robots soar by fluttering tiny wings because they are too small to use propellers, like those seen on their larger drone cousins. Small size is advantageous: These robots are cheap to make and can easily slip into tight places that are inaccessible to big drones.

But current flying robo-insects are still tethered to the ground. The electronics they need to power and control their wings are too heavy for these miniature robots to carry.

Now, engineers at the University of Washington have for the first time cut the cord and added a brain, allowing their RoboFly to take its first independent flaps. This might be one small flap for a robot, but it's one giant leap for robot-kind. The team will present its findings May 23 at the International Conference on Robotics and Automation in Brisbane, Australia.

RoboFly is slightly heavier than a toothpick and is powered by a laser beam. It uses a tiny onboard circuit that converts the laser energy into enough electricity to operate its wings.

"Before now, the concept of wireless insect-sized flying robots was science fiction. Would we ever be able to make them work without needing a wire?" said co-author Sawyer Fuller, an assistant professor in the UW Department of Mechanical Engineering. "Our new wireless RoboFly shows they're much closer to real life."

For a year or so, tech employees have been expressing remorse for being paid to deliberately create software that affects our dopamine levels and other neurotransmitters.  2017 CBS 60 Minutes segment, “Brain Hacking” provides testimony.  Other articles and TV segments have followed.  The most compelling statement seems to be from Nest Founder, Tony Faddell.

Holy crap.

As we are all already aware, for the last 2 decades, technology has been marketed to children and public school systems.  Regardless, this whole time, tech inventors have been limiting their own kids’ use of it and sending them to private low-tech schools.

It’s not going to be easy to turn this around for everyone else’s children especially with tech companies still marketing products to kids and public schools.

On a side note, no “safe” level of cell phone or wireless (WiFi) radiation has yet to be scientifically determined for children or pregnant women.  And manuals for cell phones and other wireless devices include warnings regarding RF exposure.  Many are also trying to have WiFi replaced with wired Internet in schools for these reasons.

These devices are also known to sometimes catch fire and explode.  Ay carumba.

2017 article, “The Rich Get Smart, The Poor Get Technology: The New Digital Divide in School Choice” provides research indicating that increased use of computers in the classroom and for homework has led to a decline in education levels.  It also seems to be contributing to kids becoming addicted to technology or “Screenagers.”

On February 9, 2018 Dr. Oz featured a segment on his show called “The Rise of 5G Cell Towers.” His introduction includes a description of why U.S. elected officials and telecom companies are promoting this “Race for 5G.”  Elected officials are actually writing and passing new state and federal laws so that millions of 4G and 5G small cell towers can be installed everywhere including in front of homes.  This is so we can “binge-watch, surf, and post” at faster speeds without our screens freezing up or being disconnected.  Hooray?!
