Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, son of former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, has been assassinated, a source close to the family confirmed to RT on Tuesday.

He was killed by four people “who quickly fled the scene after shooting him in his garden,” a family source told Al Arabiya. According to media reports, for the last several years Gaddafi had been living in hiding in Libya.

In 2015, a Libyan court sentenced Saif al-Islam to death for his role in the crackdown on protests during the 2011 unrest that led to the downfall of his father’s government. The International Criminal Court separately charged him with crimes against humanity. Saif al-Islam was released in 2017 as part of a general amnesty.

In 2021, he registered as a candidate for the presidential election scheduled for December, but the vote ultimately collapsed amid political deadlock.

Muammar Gaddafi seized power in a 1969 coup and ruled the oil-rich country until his killing in 2011 by insurgents backed by a US-led military intervention.

Libya has since experienced intermittent civil war and remains divided between rival governments in the west and east. Presidential and parliamentary elections have repeatedly been postponed as political tensions persist.

Israel Assassinates 'Voice of Gaza,' Al Jazeera Journalist Anas al-Sharif

The Israeli army assassinated Al Jazeera correspondent Anas al-Sharif and several of his colleagues on Sunday in a targeted airstrike on a journalists' tent outside al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. The strike has effectively wiped out the entire staff of Al Jazeera in Gaza City, claiming the lives of one child and six journalists, including Al Jazeera correspondent Muhammad Qreiqeh.

Widely celebrated as the "voice of Gaza," al-Sharif's assassination comes after months of incitement against him and puts an end to his coverage ahead of an expected Israeli invasion of Gaza City. The Israeli army has reportedly given Gaza City residents until October 7 to evacuate, when the Israeli army reportedly plans to invade northern Gaza as part of its stated plan of conquering the entire Strip.

Al-Sharif and Qreiqeh each have two children. Both stayed behind in northern Gaza as their families fled south when Israel forcibly displaced the population at the beginning of the genocide in late 2023.

Shortly after the airstrike that killed al-Sharif and his colleagues, the Israeli army released a statement claiming that al-Sharif was a member of Hamas and was responsible for "rocket attacks" on Israeli civilians and soldiers. The Israeli army claimed that "intelligence and documents from Gaza" allegedly "proved he was a Hamas operative."

In October 2024, the Israeli army published the names of al-Sharif and five other journalists who it claimed were Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad fighters. One of those journalists, Drop Site contributor and Al Jazeera Mubasher correspondent Hossam Shabat, was assassinated on March 24, 2025. Another journalist on the "hit list" was Anas al-Sharif.

Israel has killed 238 journalists in Gaza since the start of the genocide, the Gaza Government Media Office said in a statement on Monday.

"The targeting of journalists and media institutions is a full-fledged war crime that aims to silence the truth and erase evidence of the genocide."

Epstein’s Lawyers Voice Doubts Over Autopsy Conclusion, Promise Independent Probe

Disgraced US financier Jeffrey Epstein reportedly committed suicide in his prison cell where he was awaiting trial over accusations of trafficking under-age girls for sex. His death has sparked conspiracy theories suggesting that some powerful people wished him dead, as Epstein's trial could have exposed their complicity in his alleged sex ring.

Jeffrey Epstein's lawyers have announced that they are planning to carry out an independent investigation into the death of the multi-millionaire, accused of sex-trafficking, and demand video footage from the prison. According to his legal team, they are "not satisfied with the conclusions of the medical examiner" that he killed himself in his cell in New York's Metropolitan Correctional Centre.
"It is indisputable that the authorities violated their own protocols", the lawyers said, also criticising the "harsh, even medieval conditions" in Epstein's prison.

The New York Medical Examiner's Office released its official autopsy report on his death on 16 August, six days after he was found unresponsive. It found that he had committed suicide by hanging. The late financier is said to have used bedsheets to create a makeshift noose and hang himself from his prison bunk bed. The report concluded that bones in Epstein's neck were broken due to kneeling toward the floor with sufficient force to break them.

However, Epstein's death remains the subject of four federal investigations, including the conduct of the guards assigned to watch him on the night of his death.

Although initial reports that Epstein's death was a suicide came immediately after he was found dead, his demise prompted conspiracy theories that he had been murdered by his highly-connected friends, who were fearful that the disgraced financier might expose their connections to the alleged paedophilic trafficking. The theories were triggered by reports that the 66-year-old had been taken off suicide watch just weeks after he had reportedly attempted to kill himself.
The New York Times recently reported that Epstein had paid money to the inmates' prison commissary accounts, trying to curry favour with other prisoners. He is also said to have slept on the floor instead of a bunk bed and gone unwashed during his last days alive.

More than two thirds of Americans don’t believe Epstein died by suicide

It appears most Americans don’t believe the official narrative on the death of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein after a poll found that more people believe the financier died as a result of murder rather than suicide.

The curious circumstances surrounding Epstein’s reported suicide last Saturday raised more than a few eyebrows. Now, a poll from Rasmussen has found that only 29 percent of Americans believe he died by suicide in jail. That figure pales in comparison to the 42 percent of people who think that Epstein was murdered to prevent him from testifying against some of his powerful associates.*

The news attracted a huge level of interest with more than two thirds of people saying that they followed developments ‘closely’ and one quarter of people saying they followed it ‘very closely.’ Among Americans following the story ‘very closely’, 56 percent believe Epstein was murdered, Rasmussen found.

The survey was carried out in the days after Epstein’s death and it involved 1,000 respondents. It found that men were more likely than women to suspect that the disgraced financier was murdered. White respondents were also found to be less suspicious than people from minority backgrounds.

On Thursday, the Washington Post reported that Epstein’s autopsy found that the 66-year old had several broken bones in his neck including his hyoid bone. Forensic experts told the paper that breaks in the bone can occur in those who hang themselves, however, they are more common in victims of homicide by strangulation.

It's Official: Epstein Committed Suicide By Hanging, Medical Examiner Rules

A New York medical examiner announced on Friday that Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide by hanging himself in his jail cell, according to CNBC. 

The 66-year-old millionaire pedophile was found in his cell on Saturday morning at the Manhattan Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC), after which he was rushed to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead.

Epstein was remanded to jail pending trial on charges of sex trafficking of minors and sex trafficking conspiracy, which were lodged by federal prosecutors in Manhattan last month. He was accused of abusing dozens of underage girls in his mansions in New York and Palm Beach, Florida, between 2002 and 2005. -CNBC

The ruling comes after the Washington Post revealed that Epstein's autopsy found multiple breaks in his neck bones commonly found in victims of homicide by strangulation, the hyoid bone near the Adam's apple. 

Epstein's blood vessels in his eyes popped when his air supply was cut off by the bed sheet that was wrapped around his neck ... this according to law enforcement sources briefed on the case. We're told he suffered petechial hemorrhaging, caused when someone hangs himself or is strangled or smothered, but authorities are confident this was a hanging. 

We're told the bed sheets were tied to the top of a bunk bed and Epstein either hurled himself off the top bunk or had his feet to the ground and leaned forward to cut off his air supply. Authorities believe the former is true, because throwing himself off the top bunk and falling violently to the ground could explain why his hyoid bone was fractured. -TMZ

That still doesn't explain the shrieking heard from Epstein's jail cell according to reports.

Epstein Spent Hours Locked in Private Room With Young Female Visitor Before His Death

An attorney who had visited Manhattan’s Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) said Jeffrey Epstein spent at least two hours alone in a private room with a young woman the day after he was reportedly taken off of suicide watch. The private room is reserved for inmates and their attorneys.

According to Forbes, the attorney, who neglected to give his name in fear of angering prison administration, visited MCC on July 30, only one day after Epstein was removed from suicide watch. Of Epstein’s visitor, the attorney was quoted saying:

“The optics were startling. Because she was young. And pretty.”

While NBC has reported that Epstein would literally pay his lawyers to just sit with him in one of two private rooms for as many as eight hours a day in an attempt to avoid his cell, the anonymous attorney contends that it was not Epstein’s lawyer, Reid Weingarten—or any other named attorneys—who visited the convicted pedophile that day.

The attorney also said the young woman was in the private room with Epstein for at least two hours during his visit to MCC, adding that the room is locked when an inmate goes inside and unlocked only when the inmate leaves. Handcuffs are removed from the inmate while in the private room and then put back on upon leaving.

Epstein’s visitor was dressed in “Sunday brunch attire” according to the attorney, and she visited the billionaire empty handed—with no visible legal files in her possession.

“If I was him, I would have hired… an old bald guy,” the attorney said.

It turns out, Epstein’s frequent meetings held in one of two private room for the Special Housing Unit was an annoyance to attorneys in need of visiting with their own clients. Waiting times for the room stretched up to two hours from the usual 15 minutes during Epstein’s stay.

Three journalists killed in Mexico in less than a week

Three journalists have been killed in Mexico in less than a week, including two on Friday, bringing to ten the total number of journalists killed in the Central American country this year.

Edgar Alberto Nava, who published news stories about the coastal city of Zihuatanejo on a Facebook page, was shot dead in Guerrero state, officials said on Saturday.

Nava also worked as Zihuatanejo's regulations director. It was not clear if the attack in a local restaurant was related to his journalism work.

Also on Friday, Jorge Ruiz, who worked for the newspaper El Grafico de Xalapa, was killed in the violence-plagued state of Veracruz, the local mayor told AFP news agency.

Ruiz's house and vehicle were previously shot at to "intimidate him", according to officials. He had stopped putting his name to his articles to keep a low profile, the reporter's colleagues said.

Mexico is considered one of the most dangerous countries in the world to be a journalist. According to Reporters Without Borders, more than 100 media workers have been killed in the country since 2000.

Most of those crimes remain unsolved.

Why Didn’t Mueller Investigate Seth Rich?

After bungling every last aspect of Russia-gate since the day the pseudo-scandal broke, the corporate press is now seizing on the Mueller report to shut down debate on one of the key questions still outstanding from the 2016 presidential election: the murder of Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich.

No one knows who killed Rich in Washington, D.C., on July 10, 2016.  All we know is that he was found at 4:19 a.m. in the Bloomingdale neighborhood “with apparent gunshot wound(s) to the back” according to the police report. Conscious and still breathing, he was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5:57.

Police have added to the confusion by releasing information only in the tiniest dribs and drabs. Rich’s mother, Mary, told local TV news that her son struggled with his assailants: “His hands were bruised, his knees are bruised, his face is bruised, and yet he had two shots to his back, and yet they never took anything…. They took his life for literally no reason. They didn’t finish robbing him, they just took his life.”

But cops said shortly after the killing that they had no immediate indication that robbery was a motive. Despite his mother’s report of two shots in the back, all the local medical examiner would say is that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the torso. According to Rich’s brother, Aaron, Jeff “was very aware, very talkative,” when police found him lying on the pavement. Yet cops have refused to say if he described his assailant. A month later, they put out a statement that “there is no indication that Seth Rich’s death is connected to his employment at the DNC,” refusing to elaborate.

The result is a scattering of disconnected facts that can be used to support just about any theory from a random killing to a political assassination. Nonetheless, Robert Mueller is dead certain that the murder had nothing to do with the emails — just as he was dead certain in 2003 that Iraq was bristling with weapons of mass destruction “pos[ing] a clear threat to our national security.”

Mueller is equally positive that, merely by expressing concern that the murder may have had something to do with the release of thousands of DNC emails less than two weeks later, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange was trying to protect the real source, which of course is Russia.

Here’s how the Mueller report puts it:

“Beginning in the summer of 2016, Assange and WikiLeaks made a number of statements about Seth Rich, a former DNC staff member who was killed in July 2016. The statements about Rich implied falsely that he had been the source of the stolen DNC emails. On August 9, 2016, the @WikiLeaks Twitter accounted posted: ‘ANNOUNCE: WikiLeaks has decided to issue a US$20k reward for information leading to conviction for the murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich.’

New Snowden Leaked Memos Show NSA Aided Israel's "Targeted Assassinations"

A couple of new bombshell leaked NSA documents from the Snowden archive published days ago by The Intercept confirms the extremely close level of cooperation between American and Israeli intelligence services, especially as part of the so-called "global war on terror" since 9/11. The documents reveal the NSA even assisted in an aggressive targeted assassination campaign waged by Israel inside Lebanon, especially during the 2006 Lebanon War. 

According to The Intercept's report — aptly titled "Israel Hated American Ban on Sharing Intel for Assassinations, so US Made New Rules" —the newly unearthed NSA memos reveal attempts to find a legal loophole of sorts on the part of the US intelligence officials which would allow unprecedented information sharing related to a deeply controversial targeted assassination campaign by Israel.

The Intercept report states:

As Israel and the Lebanese militia Hezbollah exchanged blows during their short-lived but devastating 2006 war, Israeli military officials used private channels to pressure their American counterparts in the National Security Agency for intelligence to help assassinate Hezbollah operatives, according to a pair of top-secret NSA documents. The NSA was legally restricted from providing such information but, after Israeli officials asked for an exemption, U.S. intelligence officials decided on a new framework for information-sharing.

Essentially the Israeli SIGINT National Unit (ISNU), considered "Israel's NSA", convinced their US intelligence counterparts to circumvent US laws and procedures regarding intel sharing with with allied nations. 

"To ISNU, this prohibition [on sharing data for targeted killings] was contrary not only to supporting Israel in its fight against Hizballah but overall, to support the US Global War on Terrorism," the NSA memo stated. 

“ISNU’s reliance on NSA was equally demanding and centered on requests for time sensitive tasking, threat warning, including tactical ELINT” — electronic intelligence — “and receipt of geolocational information on Hizballah elements,” the NSA official wrote. “The latter request was particularly problematic and I had several late-night, sometimes tense, discussions with ISNU detailing NSA’s legal prohibition on providing information that could be used in targeted killings.”

No sooner did superficial observers surmise that last year’s painful and divisive commotion over the apparent murder in March of 2018 of the obscure 21-year-old David Dragičević finally subside, then on April 23 another assassination, this time of businessman Slavko Krunić, a slightly more prominent figure, again grabbed the headlines in the Republika Srpska. For those who are not particularly keen on following affairs in that off the beaten path but strategic corner of Europe, some background may be useful.

David was apparently murdered last year as the October 2018 electoral campaign was heating up, and his lifeless body was found lying in a ditch near Republika Srpska’s capital of Banja Luka. The stakes in the murder were considerable, if you were observing the process from the Western point of view. President Milorad Dodik, Putin’s friend and therefore bête noire to Western chancelleries and intelligence services, could not constitutionally run for re-election. But rather than retire, he had the effrontery to declare his candidacy for Serb member of the Presidency of his entity’s umbrella state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

To understand how outrageously that plan must have resonated in Brussels and Washington (not to mention London) it suffices to point out that over the years Dodik has been viciously denounced by those very circles as the gravedigger of the unified Bosnian state. He was charged with the egregious offence of asserting Republika Srpska’s prerogatives under the country’s constitution. Dodik had therefore to be thwarted at any cost. The tragic death of poor David, whether contrived or not, was a literal godsend to the Gene Sharp brigade, which sprang into action forthwith.

Target: Venezuela Juan Guaido | Venezuela Anti-War Voices on Both Sides Warn of Coming CIA Provocation to Kill Guaidó, Blame Maduro

WASHINGTON — Prominent American anti-war figures from across the ideological spectrum are warning that the Trump administration may soon turn on Juan Guaidó — the man they recognize as Venezuela’s interim president — in order to justify military intervention in Venezuela. 

These warnings followed Guaidó’s failed attempt to lead a military uprising on Tuesday, which analysts characterized as a desperate move, with Guaidó’s parallel government having failed to gain any significant traction in Venezuela since late January. With Guaidó now quickly losing legitimacy and momentum since Tuesday’s failed coup, it has become increasingly probable that his political patrons — the United States — may soon turn on him, as any harm done to him could be blamed on Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro, which would allow the U.S. government to justify aggressive action against the Maduro-led government.

One of the first prominent anti-war voices to raise concern that the U.S. government, particularly the CIA, may now see Guaidó as more valuable dead than alive was Daniel McAdams, executive director of the Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity and co-host of the Ron Paul Liberty Report, with the former congressman, presidential candidate and well-known libertarian. During Tuesday’s edition of the Liberty Report, Paul raised concern that a provocation could be used to push for foreign (i.e., U.S.) military intervention in Venezuela:

The big danger is a hard war breaking out. I’d still bet it won’t be too bad, with thousands of troops moving. But it could be a guerrilla war or something like that. If there is a false flag or some important official on either side gets killed, you can’t tell what might happen.”

McAdams responded, pointing out that Guaidó himself could soon become such a target for a provocation:

He [Guaidó] has been a kind of a hapless figure so far. He calls for mass protests and no one shows up. I don’t think he realizes right now that he is actually now worth more dead than alive not only to the CIA, but also to his own opposition people. A shot in the crowd or something like that to take Guaidó out. It might shock you, Dr. Paul, but the CIA is pretty good at this kind of things.”

Was Thomas Mair Wrongly Convicted?

The British state convicted Thomas Mair of the murder of Labour MP Jo Cox at The Old Bailey on 23/11/2016. At the time, many people were uneasy both about the way the case had been handled and the apparent contradictions and gaps in the evidence. However, recent research by the independent investigative journalist and film maker Richard D Hall has cast much firmer doubt upon the safety of Thomas Mair’s conviction.

Halls film ‘Exit from Bexit: The Jo Cox Departure,’ takes a dispassionate look at the evidence offered by the state to put Thomas Mair behind bars. I recommend that all who care about justice watch his film and consider his arguments.

His work has been met, unsurprisingly, by allegations that he is a supporter of the ‘far right.’ Anyone familiar with Hall’s longstanding commitment to evidence based investigations will know how silly this unsubstantiated slur is. For those who have yet to visit his website or watch his channels, I suggest you do before you believe this preposterous allegation.

Once you’ve considered Hall’s film, and additional evidence offered here, you might ask the same about the ‘far right’ claims heaped upon Thomas Mair.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with debating or questioning the evidence he offers. Hall himself always reminds his viewers to “believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see.” He consistently advocates critical thinking and encourages questioning. The Buried Maidan Massacre and Its Misrepresentation by the West

The new Ukrainian government is faced with reopening an inquiry into evidence of an organized mass killing in Kiev that Poroshenko stonewalled. Ivan Katchanovski investigates.

Five years ago, the Maidan massacre in Kiev, Ukraine, of Feb. 18-20, 2014, was a watershed event, not only for the politics and history of Ukraine but also for world politics generally. This mass killing in downtown Kyiv set the stage for the violent overthrow of the pro-Russian government in Ukraine and a new Cold War between Washington and Moscow.

Therefore, it is remarkable that five years after this massacre shook the world, no one has been sentenced for any of the Maidan killings. This was the best documented case of mass killing in history, broadcast live on TV and the internet, in presence of thousands of eyewitnesses. It was filmed by hundreds of journalists from major media in the West, Ukraine, Russia, and many other countries as well as by numerous social media users. Yet, to this day, no one has been brought to justice for this major and consequential crime.

From the start, the dominant narrative promoted by the Ukrainian and Western governments and mainstream media has placed the blame for this tragedy firmly on the Yanukovych government. It contends that forces loyal to former President Victor Yanukovych— either snipers and/or the Berkut, a special anti-riot police— massacred peaceful Maidan protesters on the direct orders of Yanukovych himself. Such charges against Yanukovych, his ministers and commanders and a special Berkut unit—whose five ex-members were tried for the murder of 48 Maidan protesters on Feb. 20, 2014 — are generally taken at face value. With some limited exceptions, challenges to this narrative are treated dismissively.

For the most part, mainstream news media in the U.S. and other Western countries ignored trial evidence, public statements by officials and politicians and scholarly studies that put the standard narrative under question. This includes non-reporting about my own academic studies of the Maidan massacre.

Journalist Killed By 'New IRA' During Riots In Northern Ireland

Twenty-one years after the signing of the Good Friday Agreement, a resurgent 'New IRA', which has taken responsibility for a car bombing and a series of parcel bombs discovered at landmarks in London and Glasgow, was blamed on Thursday for the killing of a journalist during riots in the city of Londonderry, Northern Ireland's second-largest city. 

Reporter Lyra McKee, 29, was shot and killed during rioting that broke out in the Creggan neighborhood of the city Thursday night. Unrest erupted after police tried to raid the homes of several suspected militants in search of weapons and ammunition, fearing violence over the Easter weekend. Mark Hamilton, PSNI assistant chief constable, said 50 petrol bombs were thrown and two cars hijacked during the rioting, while McKee's death was the only fatality. She was killed after being caught in the crossfire between dissidents and police sent to quell the riots.

Alleged Khashoggi killers received training in US

At least some Saudi agents involved in the grisly murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi were trained in the US as part of Washington's broader plan to 'modernize' Saudi intelligence, a new report by the Washington Post says.

Members of the 'Saudi Rapid Intervention Group', which was allegedly sent to the Istanbul Consulate in October 2018 to deal with the self-exiled journalist and critic of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, underwent training in America as part of a program launched under a State Department license, Washington Post columnist David Ignatius wrote, citing Saudi and US sources.

The CIA reportedly warned other government agencies that the special-operations training the Saudis might have received was conducted by Tier 1 Group, an Arkansas-based company as part of ongoing liaison with the Saudis. The hit-team's alleged leader, Colonel Maher Mutreb, is said to be the one who received the training. Mutreb reportedly served in London as deputy chief of station between 2002 and 2007, and was later repeatedly sent to the US and elsewhere for training, Ignatius said.

Mutreb himself reportedly told his friends in Saudi Arabia that he had gone to several training programs in the US over the past decade. Washington also planned to launch a broader training program for Saudis, which was developed by a private firm called Culpeper National Security Solutions with help from some former CIA officials.

One of the Saudi contacts who was involved in the program's development was Major General Ahmed al-Assiri, Riyadh's deputy intelligence chief, who is now also under investigation over possible involvement in the Khashoggi killing.

The Culpeper board was led by Michael Morell, the former acting director of the CIA who, it is claimed, quit the project following the high-profile murder, according to Ignatius.

When you are the largest bank in the United States and you’ve been compared to the Gambino crime family in a book by two trial lawyers; when you’ve pleaded guilty to three criminal felony counts brought by the United States Justice Department in the past five years; when you’ve paid over $30 billion in fines over charges of crimes against the public and investors since 2008; and when you’ve had an unprecedented string of employees leaping to their death from buildings, dropping dead at home or on the street, and two alleged murder-suicides by employees — all in just the past five years – one might think that law enforcement might show some interest – especially since this employer – JPMorgan Chase – holds tens of billions of dollars of Bank-Owned Life Insurance (BOLI) on its workers. (This death benefit, by the way, pays tax-free to the corporation, not the employee’s family.)

But when it comes to JPMorgan Chase and law enforcement, there does not seem to be a morsel of curiosity over the continuing sudden deaths of its computer technology workers – no matter how high up the corporate ladder they rank or how many floors they are alleged to fall to their death.

Take the case of Douglas (Doug) Arthur Carucci, age 53, who died on Saturday, March 9 under what Sarah Butcher at eFinancial Careers calls “tragic” and unexpected circumstances. Carucci is believed to have been a resident of Manhattan with his wife, Cindy.

We called the New York City Police Department and were told they had no information in their database about the death of a Douglas Carucci in March 2019. We next emailed the New York City Medical Examiner’s office – which is mandated under law to investigate all deaths from accidents or sudden deaths. Aja Worthy-Davis, the Executive Director for Public Affairs of the Medical Examiner’s Office responded as follows:

“There is no OCME record of this individual (under the name shared). Please keep in mind that the OCME does not investigate (or keep records of) all deaths within the City of New York. The OCME is specifically responsible for investigating only NYC-based deaths occurring from criminal violence, by accident, by suicide, or in any unusual or suspicious manner.”

Investigation begins into death of model who testified at Berlusconi trial

Italian magistrates said on Friday they had opened an investigation into possible murder after the mysterious death of a Moroccan model who was a regular guest at former prime minister Silvio Berlusconi’s “bunga bunga” parties.

Imane Fadil (33) died on March 1st a month after being admitted to a Milan hospital with severe stomach pains. At the time she told friends and her lawyer that she had been poisoned.

Her death was only reported on Friday.

“The doctors have not identified with any certainty any pathology which can explain the death,” Milan chief prosecutor Francesco Greco told Reuters, adding that there were “several anomalies” in Ms Fadil’s medical records.

Ms Fadil testified at the 2012 trial of Mr Berlusconi, who was accused of paying for sex with an underage prostitute.

She told the court one of the parties at the media magnate’s home involved young women, sometimes in pairs, wearing nuns’ costumes and stripping off while performing raunchy pole dances.

“They started to dance like the nuns of the film Sister Act, and then they took off their clothes,” she said. At another party, a woman in her underwear stripped for Mr Berlusconi wearing a mask with the face of footballer Ronaldinho, she said.

Mr Berlusconi was initially convicted in the case but ultimately acquitted after a judge ruled he could not have known the underage prostitute was in fact a minor.

However, magistrates subsequently laid new charges against Mr Berlusconi and other defendants, accusing them of bribing some of the women who attended the parties to keep them from telling the truth at the initial trial.

They have denied the accusations.

Ms Fadil was never accused of taking bribes. Italian newspapers reported that she was writing a book about her experiences and that the magistrates had obtained a copy of the manuscript following her death. – Reuters

Documents Reveal Two US Soldiers Overheard Plot To Kill JFK—and Were Committed After Reporting It

Washington, D.C. – Despite receiving little attention in the mass media, the November 2017 and April 2018 release of more than 35,000 and 18,000 documents by the Trump Administration, relating to the assassination of former President Kennedy—which had been withheld from the public for more than 50 years—sheds new light on the president’s murder and the two soldiers who attempted to stop it.

While the mainstream media did cursorily cover the two releases, virtually none of the coverage was aimed at the most damning revelations, which included the fact that two U.S. soldiers in separate locations uncovered cryptographic messages indicating that President Kennedy was going to be assassinated, prior to his murder in Dallas.

Ominously, both of these soldiers were subsequently institutionalized after attempting to get the information they had uncovered to authorities.

The first case involves an army code breaker named Eugene V. Dinkin.

U.S. Army Private First Class Eugene Dinkin served in Metz, France, in the 599^th Ordinance Group and worked in the cryptography section of his unit. His duties at Metz reportedly included deciphering cable traffic from the European Commands, NATO, etc.
A report by Citizens for Truth About the Kennedy Assassination (CTAKA) explained:

On September, 1963, Dinkin noticed material in the Army newspaper, Stars and Stripes, and other print publications, that was negative toward the president and his policies and implied that he was a weak president in dealing with the Russians. The examples that he found became more negative, the suggestion being that if he were removed as president it would be a good thing. By mid-October Dinkin had found enough information—some of it subliminal—that he was convinced that a plot was in the works. One driven by some high-ranking members of the military, some right-wing economic groups, and with support by some national media outlets…
Dinkin’s studies forced him to conclude that the plot would happen around November 28, 1963, and that the assassination would be blamed on “a Communist or a Negro”. He then sent a registered letter to Attorney General Robert Kennedy. When he got no reply, he decided on other options.

Dinkin gathered his evidentiary material in late October 1963, which included psychological sets he had uncovered that he believed were being used to induce a specific state of mind into citizens’ consciousness regarding President Kennedy in the run-up to his assassination and he went to the U.S. Embassy in Luxembourg in an effort to meet with Mr. Cunningham, the Chargé d’Affaires.

Despite Dinkin informing Cunningham by phone that he had important information about a plot to assassinate Kennedy, Cunningham refused to meet with him or look at his evidentiary data.

Upon returning to Metz, his superiors informed him that he was scheduled to undergo a psychological evaluation on November 5, 1963.  Dinkin then decided he had to leave his unit and go to Geneva, Switzerland, in an attempt to get this information to someone that could potentially assist in thwarting the assassination attempt.

Despite unsuccessfully attempting to speak to the editor of the newspaper, Geneva Diplomat, and a Newsweek reporter, who refused to listen to the information, Dinkin was able to speak to the secretary for Time-Life who was located in Zurich.

American citizens have been warned to shelter in place as riots grip Haiti. The Caribbean country has yet to recover from a 2010 earthquake, with foreign aid coming with a side of disease and corruption.

The US State Department warned American citizens trapped in Haiti to hunker down and shelter in place on Sunday, “due to continuing demonstrations, roadblocks, and violence” in the capital of Port-au-Prince and beyond.

A collection of Christian youth groups remain stranded in the country, in rural areas away from Port-au-Prince. Some 120 Americans are believed to be trapped inside a hotel targeted by protesters, who attempted to burn the building down.

The Kremlin has rejected accusations linking Russia it to the first confirmed UK death by novichok poisoning.

Responding to the overnight news that Dawn Sturgess, 44, had died in Salisbury general hospital, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia was watching the "dangerous" developments closely.

"We are concerned about the presence of such poisonous substances in the United Kingdom," he told journalists at his daily press conference.

The Kremlin was "unaware" of any official statement blaming it for the second novichok incident, he said – but such claims "would be absurd." 

"Russia has offered to collaborate on a joint investigation, but our offer was rejected by British authorities," he said. "This is now more a problem for the British – more about how much they are interested in a real investigation."
